Dynamic Catholic, Alive!

Most Holy Trinity- The Triune God

I have often heard priests tell me that this solemnity is one of the most difficult days in the liturgical year on which to preach a good homily. It is difficult to preach a homily on

such a central mystery of our faith like the Trinity. What is essential to remember for all Catholics is to simply listen to

the readings and each of the prayers today for the Mass. Within these texts we can find spiritual insights about the Trinity. For example, the preface for the Mass today pro-vides a great summary of the Church’s teaching on the

mystery of the Trinity: “For what you have revealed to us of your glory we believe equally of your Son and of the Holy Spirit, so that, in the confessing of the true and eternal Godhead, you might be adored in what is proper to each

Person, their unity in substance, and their equality in maj-esty.” One God in three Persons is always there for us.

Back to Mass

This is not back to normal mass attendance though. Here at St. James, we have designated 8 pews due to all the social distanc-ing guidelines. Same household Family members (family members that live under the same roof) will be allowed to sit together in the same pew, but will still be considered in the maximum allowed capacity. Please keep this in mind when planning to attend mass. If you are able, attending weekday mass would be a good option. -Doors will be open to enter, but will be closed when we reach capacity. -If you are unable to sit in church, you are welcome to sit in your vehicle and listen to mass on your radio FM 101.7, as communion will be offered after mass for those listening in their cars. -Ushers will be seating parishioners. -Masks must be worn when entering church, when going up to commun-ion and when leaving church. When receiving communion, you may lower your mask to consume the Holy Eucharist. No gloves may be worn when excepting the Eucharist. -Ushers will guide parishioners for communion. -Ushers will release parishioners to exit church. -No lingering outside after mass. -We must maintain 6ft social distancing rules. Live Streaming of the Mass, St. James website and Facebook page June 13th, 4:30 pm Mass. http://stjamespotosi.org (webpage) Follow us on Facebook We hope to schedule first communion, confirmation, RCIA baptisms/reception into the faith very soon. Still awaiting directives from the Arch Diocese. Dates to be determined. Please bare with us as we are still dealing with the COVID-19 social distancing guidelines.

Dear Friends, This year Jenn and I will celebrate our 20th anniversary. Wow! We are so grateful to the Lord for His faithfulness to us and for the transformation He has brought to our lives through marriage. Through new jobs, moves, five kids, ministry, and every twist and turn, God is writing a beautiful story in our rela-tionship. So much of what we have learned through Unbound has helped us to find free-dom and deeper intimacy in our marriage. Like us, I'm sure that so many of you could use wisdom and guidance from other couples -- real people who live out their faith and can tell us what they do when the going gets tough who can encourage us to embrace our call to marriage to the fullest. And that's just what the online Catholic Marriage Summit (June 11-13) is all about. Couples sharing with other couples. You can register for FREE and get access to talks from inspiring speakers like Scott & Kimber-ly Hahn, Bobby and Jackie Angel, and Matt & Cameron Fradd ... and ME along with my amazing wife Jenn. We will share with you the very best of what God has given us over the years. This is a very special event. Will you join us? You don't need to be a Cath-olic to join, and it's free to participate, but you do need to register. Do that right here, right now. I promise, your marriage will be blessed by this expe-rience. I look forward to connecting with you there! Matt Lozano REGISTER FOR FREE!

Remember the Rice Bowls? If you still have yours, you can bring it to church with you or you can drop it off at the office. We also have the drop box by the of-fice door. We’d like to have them all collected by the 21st of June please. Thank you. :-)
