We love and treasure the Word of God. The Scriptures are our sole source for doctrine and practice. The Scriptures deliver Christ to us, and for this we rejoice.
Luther desired that ev-ery person could have access to the Word of God. He translat-ed the Bible into German so that every person could read it. A re-sult of Luther’s translation was the proliferation of Bible transla-tions, and today, the multiplicity of
media through which God’s Word is freely available.
The Word is to be read, taught and proclaimed. The Word informs
us of God’s love and instructs us in His will. Just as the Word made flesh came for the whole world, so God’s written Word is given for all people.
BiBle StudyBible Study will begin on Sunday, September 10th at 9:15 am in the Parish Hall.
ConfirmationAll 5-8th grade students who have not yet been con-firmed and their parents are invited to a Confirmation Orientation Meeting on Sunday Sept 10th at 11:45 AM in the St. Paul Parish Hall. In this meeting Kayla and
Pastor Wendorf will be sharing some of the exciting things planned for this year in confirmation. It is im-portant for all youth and parents both new and returning to be in attendance for this meeting as we
want some feedback on some of the improvements to our program. If you
want to make sure you get all the info. and are on the list send an email to Peggy at the church office or call 956-423-3924.

SePtemBer donationSThank you for all the donations of peanut butter to get us ready to serve new students this school year in our partnership with local schools to pro-vide children with needed help for weekend meals. The next thing we are looking to add to back packs are individual cereal boxes. They can be dropped oFf during weekend worship or during the week at the church office. The chart is located outside the church office by the mailboxes in the hallway to the Church Library.
