A Family Perspective - The apostles thought they knew Jesus, but when he changed in front of them at the Transfiguration, they were “afraid.” In families we cannot freeze relationships because change and growth are inevitable. Children grow up, parents grow old and spouses change. Transfigurations are all around us and within us. Relationships can only grow when we embrace the new and let go of the old. Blood Drive here at Finley Hall on Wednesday, March 4th, 12:30 - 6 p.m. Appointments: Kathy Pitzer 724-348-5361. Eat well, stay hydrated, and bring ID. World Day of Prayer on Friday, March 6th at 11:00 a.m. in Mingo Presbyterian Church on Rt. 88, south of Finleyville. Since 1920, Christian women in the USA and Canada pray for World Peace. A luncheon follows. PSP Pledges to our Par ish Share Program are coming in. Our total is growing! THANK YOU! If you haven’t made your pledge yet, please do and get it off your “must do” list. Return your pledge or donation and return it by way of the collection basket in an envelope marked PSP 2015, or mail it to the rectory by Sunday, March 22nd. Any amount collected over our assessment stays here at St. Francis and that amount is not taxed/assessed for the next year. If you are new in the parish, please pick up a form in the church. Dinner at 6:30 sharp. Easter Flowers – There are Flower Offering envelopes in the church to order flowers for the Altar for Easter. Donation: $7.00. The flowers may be placed on the Altar “In Memory of a Loved one”, “In Thanksgiving” or “For a Special Intention.” Orders must be in by Sunday, March 22nd. Vendor/Craft Show by High School Ministry on May 9th in Finley Hall. You may donate something you got for Christmas and don’t have a need or a use for it. We’ll take it, donate it to our Chinese Auction baskets. Drop off your donation at the Parish Office, Monday - Friday between 9 - 3 p.m. Mark it “H. S. Ministry”. Tri-annual Parish Mission is scheduled here at our Parish for April 11th to the 15th (Saturday evening talk at Mass through Wednesday). Deacon Ministries are the presenters: Deacons Robert Herrmann and Eddie Ensley. They’ve presented in our Pittsburgh/Washington Area and got great reviews. We’re looking forward to their presentation.
