Each session includes the Reading of the Sunday’s Readings followed by a lively discussion, prayer and application of it to your own personal life. Participation in this lively group will give new birth and growth to your own interior life. Blessing of Throats Monday,

This is the day when many Catholics participate in the tradition of having their throats blessed. Why does the blessing of the throat take place on St. Blaise Day? St. Blaise, a physician and bishop, asked God to cure a child who was choking to death on a fish bone and the child’s life was saved. Thus, St. Blaise is the patron saint of healthy throats.
Dear God, As we celebrate this week National Catholic Schools Week. Guide us in bringing hope. Lead us in building respect and being family. Lead us in remembering to educate hearts as well as minds. Fill our
students with your spirit and grace as they learn, serve, lead and succeed.

Docent Tours of Church and Chapel
The Docents of St. Francis of Assisi invite you to join us on tours of the church and chapel beginning January through April to learn about the history and artifacts of our beautiful church. Docents will be waiting for you at the foot of the altar after the 9:15 and 11:00 masses. Thánh Blaise là một Y Sĩ và là một Giáo Mục, Ngài đã xin Chúa chữa lành cho một em bé bị chết vì nghẹt xương cá và mạng em bé đó đã được cứu sống . Vậy nên, Thánh Blaise là vị thánh đỡ đầu của cổ họng khỏe mạnh.
