What a difference it has made having the beauful sunshine this week! It is lovely to see the children in their summer uniforms—when the sun comes out, please do remember to put sun cream on your children before they come to school and send them into school with a school sunhat and a clear bole which can be refilled with water so that we can all enjoy the sun safely. This term is packed full of acvies to enhance the children ‘s learning with many trips and visitors as well as our upper school residenal visits—we look forward to sharing all of these with you in future newsleers. Just a reminder that there is a school Eucharist on Wednesday 25 th April at 9.15am at St Dunstan’s Church and you are all very welcome to join us in this act of celebraon and worship. Ms J Corby Early Years and Key Stage One delivered a wonderful Easter Service at the church at the end of Spring Term. Children in Year 2 re-told the Easter Story very clearly and managed to use the microphones very sensibly to recite their lines. The children sang songs very enthusiascally, including 'This is the Day' and 'Sing out an Easter Song'. Year 1 and Year 2 led us in prayer followed by a meaningful closing by Felicity Norris. The service gave us an important opportunity to reflect on the message of the Easter Story and give thanks to Jesus for all that he has given us. At the end of last term, the KS2 pupils, staff and many parent / carers celebrated Holy Week through a Eucharist service at school. Pupils from Year 5 led us through the events of Holy Week, from Palm Sunday to Easter Saturday, and alluded to the resurrecon of Jesus that was to be remembered on Easter Day. 'Sing Aloud' enhanced the service with a version of the tradional song, 'Were you there when they crucified my Lord?'. We were pleased to be joined by Felicity and Rev. Marn Hayward who presided over the Eucharist. Please join us for our Eucharist service at church next Wednesday, on the theme of Forgiveness. Easter Bake-Off We had a good response to the Easter Bake-Off on Monday 26 th March. The judges had to taste many biscuits in varying designs and tastes and said that they were all delicious! It was very difficult to choose who will be the winners, but aſter much deliberaon the finalists were announced. Congratulaons to the following up and becoming bakers!! We Are the Champions!!

On Tuesday 27th March, the year six boys football team played in the finals of the Sutton Schools Cup against Robin Hood. In the first half we set the standard high. Twelve frantic minutes passed before we had an opportunity of scoring- Jake passed the ball to Max, who laid the ball to Nathanael who smashed it in top corner. We scored! After celebrating, another few minutes went by until we had

another chance: Rudy passed the ball to Jake, who took the ball and did a lovely pass to Max who ran on and smashed the ball in the bottom corner. Due to conceding two in the first half the opposing side came

at our team, but fortunately we had a great goalie (Josh) who was experienced and rose to the occasion with some great saves. Unfortunately, we conceded one, but still came out with a win of 2-1 to us.

Thank you to our coaches and to everyone who has supported us at our matches. by Year 6
