The Ascension of the Lord
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last,
the beginning and the end.”
(Revelations 22:13)
This is a reminder of how we should live our lives 24
hours a day, 7 days a week – putting God first in all
that we do. Not only when I am at Mass and parish
activities, but when I am in the world, at work or at
school. Living gratefully and generously is a lifestyle;
it should influence how I make all my daily decisions.
Please pray for our sick For all those homebound, in the hospital or nursing homes and especially those who
care for them. We also ask prayers for those not listed and those we are not aware of that are ill.

Summer Food Assistance Program
The Outreach Assistance Office will begin a new
summer program next week, Wednesday’s from
11am-2pm to help feed children of Effingham Coun-
ty. Many children in Effingham County receive free
or reduced breakfast and lunch during the school
year, but what do they do during the summer months?
Food bags specifically geared towards children’s
breakfast & lunch meals will be provided to families
with school aged children. If you know anyone who
can benefit from this program, please have them call
the office. Get the word out, no child should go with-
out food!
