Is God calling you to the Secular Franciscan Order? The rule and life of the Secular Franciscan is to observe the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ by following the example of St. Francis of Assisi, who made Christ the inspiration and center of his life with God and people. Secular Franciscans live in the world, and their primary sphere of activity and influence is in the ordinary events of daily life: in their families, communities, workplaces, and parishes.

We are off to a good start here in the Fargo area, with the enthusiastic approval and blessing of Bishop John Folda, and with formation assistance from the Secular Franciscan Order Fraternity in Grand Forks. We meet on the first Sunday of the month. If you are interested and would liketo come and see, we invite you to our next meeting, Sunday, March 1, 2:00 p.m., at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 2711 7th St., West Fargo, ND.

St. John’s Lenten Concert Mission “Emerging from the Desert, Leaning on Christ”

~ Aly Aleigha

“Rarely do I come across someone who is both uniquely talented in music and at the same time deeply theological in their message. Aly is such a person! Her music and her sharing from the heart have touched me in a way that makes me want to know Christ in a more intimate way. If you want to go theologically deep in music and at the same time be captured by the beauty of song, I can’t recommend Aly enough. Everyone I tell about her comments that they have never heard anything like this in Christian music.” ~ Jeff Cavins
