St. Andrew's E-News Greetings! Parish Announcements Search Committee Update The Search Committee is deeply grateful to all who participated in the rector search discernment event on May 19. Your insights and input were invaluable to us as we prepared the Parish Profile, which will be broadcast nationally through the Diocese of North Carolina. We expect the Parish Profile to be ready this month, and we look forward to sharing it with you! The summer-fall season is when many priests will be discerning new positions. We expect to receive applications throughout July and August, and then we will work to interview and visit with top candidates in September and October. By November, we expect to make a recommendation to the Vestry to call our next Rector, hopefully to be in place before Christmas. This process may seem long, but everything is moving according to schedule and as planned. The interim period provides a sacred time to ready ourselves for our next Rector, and we are blessed to have Ed among us. Please feel free to reach out to any of us if you have questions. And as always, your prayers are appreciated. In the meantime, please feel free to contact any member of the Search Committee if you have questions or concerns. The members are: Craig Taylor, chair; Dottie Clark; Catherine Clifton; Judy Hackett; Cathy Jordan; Bob Mills; Deb Richardson; Doug Sanecki; and Brenda Swearingin.
