Gathering around God’s Word
Welcome and Announcements
Prelude
Call to Worship Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
And all of us, with unveiled faces, see the glory of the Lord as though reflected in a mirror.
We are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another;
We are being transformed by the power of the Spirit.
Opening Prayer
*Hymn 509 All Who Hunger, Gather Gladly HOLY MANNA
Proclaiming God’s Word
Prayer for Illumination Kim Luevano
First Scripture Lesson 1 Corinthians 11: 23-26 23 For I received from the Lord what I also handed on to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was
betrayed took a loaf of bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body that is for
you. Do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way he took the cup also, after supper, saying, “This cup is the
new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 26 For as often as you eat this
bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
The Word of the Lord.
Thanks be to God!
Solo Love bade me welcome (Five Mystical Songs) Vaughan Williams
Jeffrey Snider, baritone, Stephen Carey, piano
Love bade me welcome: yet my soul drew back,
Guilty of dust and sin.
But quick-ey'd Love, observing me grow slack
From my first entrance in,
Drew nearer to me, sweetly questioning,
If I lack'd anything.
A guest, I answer'd, worthy to be here:
Love said, You shall be he.
I, the unkind, ungrateful? Ah, my dear,

Diaconate Outreach
In a effort to continue to minister to St. Andrew during this
time of separation and COVID-19, the deacons would like to
extend helping hands. If you are in the high-risk category or
immune suppressed and find yourself saying "I need someone
to run to the store...pick up my medications...grab my kitty
some kibble." Email the deacons, diaco-
[email protected]. Indicate your needed item, pick up
instructions, payment method, your address and phone num-
ber and we will help locate a volunteer to courier your item to
you. This will be a no contact delivery. The volunteer will ring
your doorbell and leave the item for you on your porch.
Want to participate? Email the deacon email your contact infor-
mation if you are willing to participate in this ministry as a vol-
unteer.
I cannot look on thee.
Love took my hand, and smiling did reply,
Who made the eyes but I?
Truth, Lord, but I have marr'd them: let my shame
Go where it doth deserve.
And know you not, says Love, who bore the blame?
My dear, then I will serve.
You must sit down, says Love, and taste my meat:
So I did sit and eat.
Time with Young Disciples
Second Scripture Lesson Numbers 9: 1-14 The Lord spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they had come out
of the land of Egypt, saying: 2 Let the Israelites keep the passover at its appointed time. 3 On the fourteenth day of
this month, at twilight, you shall keep it at its appointed time; according to all its statutes and all its regulations
you shall keep it. 4 So Moses told the Israelites that they should keep the passover. 5 They kept the passover in the
first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, at twilight, in the wilderness of Sinai. Just as the Lord had
commanded Moses, so the Israelites did. 6 Now there were certain people who were unclean through touching a
corpse, so that they could not keep the passover on that day. They came before Moses and Aaron on that day, 7 and said to him, “Although we are unclean through touching a corpse, why must we be kept from presenting
the Lord’s offering at its appointed time among the Israelites?” 8 Moses spoke to them, “Wait, so that I may hear
what the Lord will command concerning you.”
9 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 10 Speak to the Israelites, saying: Anyone of you or your descendants who is
unclean through touching a corpse, or is away on a journey, shall still keep the passover to the Lord. 11 In the
second month on the fourteenth day, at twilight, they shall keep it; they shall eat it with unleavened bread and
bitter herbs. 12 They shall leave none of it until morning, nor break a bone of it; according to all the statute for the
passover they shall keep it. 13 But anyone who is clean and is not on a journey, and yet refrains from keeping the
passover, shall be cut off from the people for not presenting the Lord’s offering at its appointed time; such a one
shall bear the consequences for the sin. 14 Any alien residing among you who wishes to keep the passover to the
Lord shall do so according to the statute of the passover and according to its regulation; you shall have one
statute for both the resident alien and the native.
The Word of the Lord.
Thanks be to God!

*Hymn 526 Let us Talents and Tongues Employ LINSTEAD
Apostles’ Creed (ecumenical version) (unison)
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only son,
our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was
crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into
heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead. I
believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the
resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

The next St. Andrew video is “Worshipping in Your Own
Context.” When the Israelites were exiled to Babylon, they
wondered if they could sing a song to the Lord (or we
might say worship) in Babylon. They learned they could.
The pandemic has raised the question: can we worship vir-
tually and in our homes? If you have learned the answer is
"yes,” send us a photo or video showing how you worship
at home - maybe Lisa and Richard show up on your big
screen TV; maybe you are eating breakfast between hymns;
or maybe you are outside in your garden. However you
are worshipping, send Kirsten Trachsel a photo or video.
Her phone number is 740-590-5934 if you send a text (that’s
easier for big files); her email is
[email protected], or call her and arrange a
google doc exchange. Send your photo/video by noon by
next Wednesday, June 10.

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it
