Exploring weight: Look at a selection of chocolate bars and sweet packets. Find out how much they weigh. Put the items in order, from the lightest to the heaviest.
Explore prices of chocolate bars putting prices in order/ solving word problems.
Charlie finds a 50p coin in the street. Find out what can be bought with just 50p. Explore how many fifty pence coins would be needed to buy certain items (e.g. a toothbrush/a magazine)

• Senior school pupils currently study French (S1 & S2)
• In S3 they can opt to continue with French and/or take up Spanish or Italian (even study all 3) up to National 5, Higher or Advanced Higher in S6
• Pupils also study Latin in S1 and beyond as an option

• For the foreseeable future the languages we teach should remain the same
• We are committed to offering more than one language, and feel strongly that French is still very important
