During the 27 years of my membership in the Society, my participation in its activities have brought me great personal and professional satisfaction. It has, by far, been my most satisfying organization of which to be a member.

It has given me opportunities to serve with other great Society members on various committees – Membership, Conference Intensive, National Board, Foundation Board as well as various leadership roles in our state chapter.

This Society is an incredible organization!Foundation Auctioneer

TributesMark has always been a fierce advocate for the social work profession, social work students, and medical social work. He has the ability to make you laugh and always makes everyone feel welcome. He has done a lot for the social work profession as a whole as well as the bereavement community.

Mark de St. Aubin has contributed greatly to the ongoing education of the social workers in Utah. As a mentor I found him to be incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and a skilled clinician. He has graciously given of his time to mentor me long past my clinical supervisory hours. I have felt all that time that he was personally vested in my professional development and growth as a social worker.

Mark has a calling in this life to change lives for the better. I am one of those people. Mark lifted me as a Social Worker and person. No matter the social work endeavor, I can't begin to count the amount of lives Mark has touched and improved just in our bubble of social work but can't begin to imagine all the amazing personal interactions we all know so well.

Joey Ulrich, LCSW Co-President Utah Hospice Socialwork Network

TributeDuring my 30-year tenure at Harvard and the Massachusetts General Hospital, I have met and worked with many Social Workers who are doing a splendid job serving in the healthcare field. Among one of the best is Mark de St Aubin. Mark has an excellent grasp of our current understandings of grief, mourning, and trauma. Even more important is his ability to transmit these concepts to his students in a way that makes them effective grief counselors and therapists. Today many of the hundreds that he has trained are working on the front lines with those impacted by our current pandemic. I am pleased to see that he is receiving this prestigious award.J. TributeOne part thoughtful scholar, one partimprovisational actor, and all parts deeply human, Mark is a marvel to witness in the classroom, and a tough act to follow. His students love him, and in all the best senses of the word, he loves them back. He deserves a standing ovation!
