SS&TP Community Advisory Council Annual Meeting The SS&TP Community Advisory Council convened at MediNatura. New Park companies Dynetics Technical Solutions and TechSource delivered presentations. Cooperative Educational Services provided an update about its proposed new building, and the City of Albuquerque’s Public Art Urban Enhancement Division and Albuquerque Public Art Board discussed how the SS&TP will be participating in the City’s 1% for the Arts program. In addition, MediNatura delivered a company overview and gave a tour of its manufacturing facility. AUGUST 2019 The SS&TP is doing a commendable job of growing New Mexico’s tech sector. SAND 2019-9380 M www.sstp.org | 1611 Innovation Parkway SE, Albuquerque, NM 87123 | 505-844-5795 RECENT VISITS Congressional Delegation Visits the SS&TP U.S. Representatives Ben Ray Luján (NM-3), Xochitl Torres Small (NM-2), and Bill Foster (IL-11) visited the Sandia Science & Technology Park (SS&TP) to attend a breakfast meeting hosted by Raytheon. The SS&TP Program Office and Park companies Raytheon, Advanced Optical Technologies, and AEgis Technologies delivered presentations. A tour of the Raytheon facility was also provided. RECOGNITION SS&TP Companies Receive Flying 40 Award Applied Technology Associates (ATA) and TechSource were honored as two of New Mexico’s top technology companies of 2018 at the annual Flying 40 technology awards ceremony. ATA employs 190 people and had revenues of $68 million and TechSource employs 83 people and had revenues of $35 million. The Sandia Science & Technology Park Development Corporation organized and hosted the event which took place at the Albuquerque BioPark Botanic Garden and Aquarium. UPDATE Eubank Gate Construction Begins this Fall NNSA and Kirtland Air Force Base (KAFB) will start a construction project at the Eubank gate to address security concerns and provide access to the new NNSA Albuquerque Complex. The 12-month project is managed by Sandia and expected to begin October 1. The project will result in a realignment of the intersection west of the Eubank gate entrance at 20th St. and G Ave. During the construction, the Eubank gate will remain open. Impacts to commuters are not anticipated until after the first of the year. Download KAFB app for updates.
