STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES PROVIDES...Academic, Career & Educational (ACE) Services
The Student Support Services (SSS) program, which is a federal TRiO program, serves to motivate students toward the successful completion of their post-secondary education. The goal of SSS is to increase the college retention and graduation rates of its participants and facilitate the process of transition from one level of higher education to the next.
Is Student Support Services for you?• Do you need academic assistance?• Would you like enhanced preparation for college?• Do you want to prepare for a career after college?• Would you like to take college tours?Join us and learn more! Each year 160 students are selected to participate in the Student Support Services program at the Technical College of the Lowcountry. Through Academic, Career and Educational (ACE) services, participants receive opportunities for advanced academic development.
As part of the SSS program you will experience:• enhanced study skills strategies.• academic and career workshops.• cultural enrichment activities.• visits to college/universities throughout the United States.• peer tutoring and mentoring. All services of Student Support Services are free of charge.
