PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE October 2014 to present

American Family Housing, Midway City, CA PRESIDENT AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER Reporting to the Board of Directors, develops the organizational vision, programmatic and financial strategies to guide American Family Housing’s (AFH) future while ensuring the successful day-to-day operations of the agency. Key challenges are to transition the agency from a founder of 30 years creating a new strategic direction and long term sustainable model. Design and implement policies and programs to advance the mission of the organization while responding to changing community needs. § Improved internal structures and brought agency into

compliance in the following areas: human resources, ACA regulations, technology including HIPAA and confidentiality best practices, finance and internal controls. Reduced expenses by focusing on risk mitigation in areas such as insurance coverages.

§ Implemented evidenced based practices and aligned housing and services with current trends in the field.

§ Instituted formal training protocols and quality improvement program and increased expertise and depth of multi-disciplinary team to improve service delivery.

§ Expanded partnerships with municipalities, funders and other non-profits to increase reach of organization and ensure effective coordination of agency’s housing and services within the community.

LAMP Community, Los Angeles, CA CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER Reporting to the Board of Directors, develops the organizational vision, programmatic and financial strategies to guide Lamp’s future while ensuring the successful day-to-day operations of the agency. Design and implement policies and programs to advance the mission of the organization while responding to changing community needs. Responsible for representing Lamp, its programs and philosophy in the professional community, to its funding sources and to the public. § Established fiscal health and stability to 10 million

dollar corporation with the following key changes: 50% revenue growth, 44% increase in net assets, and 53% reduction in liabilities while simultaneously improving infrastructure and increasing number of individuals served.

§ Provided leadership and support to the Board of Directors in raising $1.325 million dollars in private and public funds FY14 with a 65% increase of individual donor contributions and 45% foundation increase contributions FY13 to FY14.

§ Increase in number and size of contracts with government entities with a 73% increase in contract revenue from FY14 to FY15.

§ Refocused and prioritized the agency strategic goals to ensure the attainment of its mission-driven objectives

while ensuring ongoing innovative and effective program delivery. The number of people served during the realignment increased by 100% while ensuring all programs consistently delivered high-quality, responsive, evidence based services that aligned to Lamp’s mission and values.

§ Increased employee retention and improved company morale (100+ employees) by ensuring professionalism and productive capacity of the organization matched individual and team skills by assessing staffing needs of the agency and hiring skilled, motivated, talented, and passionate professionals.

§ Provided vision and leadership to the community and acted as subject matter expert at public and private events throughout California: presenter at Housing California, Women’s Health Foundation Conference on the Impact of Realignment on Women, National Association of Case Management, DMH Housing Institute, and others; featured in PBS documentary and on public radio and podcasts; invited speaker to community groups nationwide; and quoted in National publications such as Huffington Post, Economist, and LA Times.

§ Developed strategic and operational plans with the Board of Directors and management by setting clear goals, objectives and measures that drive organizational performance and community service.

Start Easy Eagle Development (SEED Corp), East Orange, NJ EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR While functioning as the Chief Executive Officer of this start up non-profit special needs housing developer, performed a wide range of management activities related to finances, contracting, operational agreements, human resources, promotion of affordable housing, marketing and other discretionary activities that serve to support effective business operations. Advised the Board of Trustees in planning, policy and operations matters. § Developed and implemented business plan building a

new 501 c 3 non-profit organization from the ground up.

§ Secured over $10 million in federal, state, and local grant funds for affordable housing development.

Advance Housing Inc., Hackensack, NJ DIRECTOR OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

Responsibilities at this mental health agency include the development of partnership and affiliation agreements with community providers and governmental bodies, monitoring compliance with funding requirements, project coordination of the development team, identification of funding resources on the state, local, and federal levels.
