“New Year’s Resolutions” “In Training for a Cure” As 2011 winds to a close and we start the new, exciting year of 2012, it’s valuable to take some time to reflect on what the past year was about for us, and what we want to create in the new one. Here are some suggestions that might help. Grab a piece of paper and a pen (or your trusty keyboard and mouse) and list five things you did this year that you’re proud of. These accomplishments can be anything from personal, to professional, from physical, to spiritual. They can be about your relationships, your envi- ronment, your healthy habits, or your recreation, whatever you find meaningful and want to celebrate. Now list five resolutions, or goals, that you would like to set for yourself in the new year. Compare the two lists and notice what you did in order to accomplish those five things in 2011. can develop and/or accomplish these goals for 2012. With each passing year people make resolutions with the best intentions, but sadly some of those intentions fall out of place. In fact, recent research shows that while 52% of par-ticipants in a resolution study were confident of success with their goals, only 12% actually achieved their goals. That’s why at Reed-Lallier Chevrolet we encourage you to start small and build up your goals throughout the year. One way to do this is by volunteer-ing your time at a local shelter. Operation Inasmuch has vis-ited Reed-Lallier Chevrolet in the past and has asked for our

help, and now they are asking for our help again. They are a national nonprofit organization that believes in serving their neighbors in need and changing lives throughout the community and in the church. Operation Inasmuch is look-ing for volunteers on January 31st to come out and help serve breakfast to the needed. For more information go to http://www.faoiam.org, or call (910) 433-2161.
