CAMPAIGN AGAINST SUBSTANCE ABUSE

We started with our project conducting a small meeting.

We decided that we would be conducting our program among the children of a government school , dealing with the three main substances Gutka, Drugs and Cigarettes.

21st August 2012

After preparing a proposal on what we would be doing with our SSD Project. We submitted the proposal to Prof A.Panda. But there were some flaws in our proposal and so it was rejected.

After this sir gave us a format to prepare another proposal which was more specific and detailed in nature.

22nd August 2012

We had a meeting regarding the expenses which were to be

incurred on different aspects relating to the program.

The final proposal was prepared & this time the proposal was fine

but again there were flaws.

25th August 2012

1st Meeting- We had gone to meet the principal of the school, regarding the program to be held. We briefed him on how we are going to conduct the program.

But afterwards we got to know that we would not be able to arrange such a big hall within the school premises.

2nd Meeting- We had gone again to visit the principal and tell him regarding the changes in the

We had gone to invite Prof. B.D Panda to accompany us to the program that we were going to conduct on substantial abuse. Luckily sir was also free on that day and he agreed to accompany us.

1st September 2012

We had a group meeting in our

classroom where we had a discussion on

the whole program in which way it had to be conducted. Also we discussed about the different groups to whom work was

assigned, and what their progress was….

2nd September 2012

This was the day when we submitted the final proposal on “Substantial Abuse” to Prof. A. Panda. Finally our proposal was accepted and we briefed him on how we were going to precede with our program.

4th September 2012

A final meeting was held before our program and all the group members were briefed on the sequence and proceedings of the program. The final videos to be shown in the program were shared among the group members.

5th September 2012

The program was scheduled to start at 2 pm. Six people from our group had arrived early so as to set up the hall for the program.

The other members arrived as per schedule with the food packets and laptops for the program.

After having completed our project successfully we briefed about the happenings of the program to Prof. A.Panda.

7th September 2012

Prof. A. Panda gave us a ‘Thank you’ letter to be given to Principal

of the school .Also we had a friendly interaction with the Principal and some of the student to know the

feedback on the program which we had conducted.

Thus, this was how we planned, prepared and conducted our SSD

Project on “Substance Abuse”.
