In today’s Gospel, John the Baptist urges us to “Prepare the way of the Lord.” This is what Advent is all about. For we are called to help prepare the way of the Lord by making the real meaning of Christmas come alive in our own hearts, in our family, and to reach out to those in need.
If you would like to give a gift or gift card to a child this Christmas, you may drop it off at the Parish Office and mark it for St Vincent de Paul.
Christmas time is a time of love and sharing. Let us share the true meaning of Christmas with all we meet.

Landscaping/Maintenance Ss. Simon and Jude Cathedral Phoenix
Ss. Simon and Jude Cathedral is seeking a self-motivated individual for the part-time position of Landscaping/Maintenance. THE EMPHASIS WILL BE ON LANDSCAPING, but includes other duties as well. Duties include, but are not limited to: maintain landscaping, assisting with custodial duties and maintenance throughout the Church, offices, and school; assists with parish ministry and event setups; performs other position related tasks deemed necessary and/or as assigned. The position is part-time 20-28 hours per week. Generally Monday through Friday with occasional work on Saturdays and Sundays….and occasional holidays. Minimum Qualifications: Experience with all aspects of landscaping required. Knowledge of basic repair and maintenance desired. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Application forms are available at the Parish Office. The following is required to be considered for an interview: fully-completed and signed job application (includes listings of at least 1 personal and 1 job reference) and resume (if available). What is Eucharistic Adoration? Understood simply, Eucharistic Adoration
is adoring or honoring the Eucharistic Presence of Christ. In a deeper sense, it involves
"the contemplation of the Mystery of Christ truly present before us".
There are many hours available to commit to an hour of Adoration however those that are currently EMPTY are listed below. HOURS IN URGENT NEED OF ADORERS:
SUNDAYS 12 AM - 1 AM 1 - 2 AM MONDAYS TUESDAYS WEDNESDAYS Looking for a way to use the gifts God has blessed you with? Please consider becoming a part of the Eucharistic Adoration Team. We are in URGENT need of 4 Hourly Captains as well as 1 Division Leader. Hourly Captain Responsibilities: 1. Prayerfully support the adorers in the hour you choose to oversee. 2. Check the sign-in book weekly to make sure the hour is being covered. 3. Call adorers whenever they do not sign in for their hour. 4. Encourage the adorers in their prayer and faith journey. Division Leader Responsibilities: 1. Assists the Coordinator. 2. Oversees Division & Schedule. 3. Maintains contact with the Hourly Captains. Please call the office for more detailed info

Upcoming Healing Prayer dates: Mondays, December 9 & 16 If you are in need of healing in body, mind or spirit, please feel welcome to come and let us pray with and for you. The group meets on the above dates at 10:00 AM in St. Bridget's Room just across from the parish office. HOMEBOUND APOSTOLATE Parishioners, if you or any family members are unable to attend Mass due to illness or debility and would like to receive Holy Communion at home, please call the parish office at 602-242-1300. We are happy to serve you.

In School Multipurpose Room If you are looking to have your child baptized or you are expecting and would like to prepare for your newborn’s baptism before his or her arrival, this is a time to rejoice! We at Ss. Simon and Jude Cathedral look forward to assisting you in preparing your child for their first step in his/her life in Christ. Our Baptism preparation program consists of two classes for both parents and godparents. To register or if you have any questions please call the Faith Formation Office at 602-433-7610. Si necesitas sanación de cuerpo, mente o espíritu, te invitamos a venir y orar con y para ti. El grupo se reúne en las fechas anteriores a las 11:00 a.m. Nos reunimos en el salón de St. Bridget, justo enfrente de la oficina de la parroquia. SAN VICENTE DE PAÚL En el Evangelio de hoy, Juan el Bautista nos insta a "Preparar el camino del Señor". De esto se trata el Adviento. Porque estamos llamados
a ayudar a preparar el camino del Señor al hacer que el verdadero significado de la Navidad cobre vida en nuestros propios corazones, en nuestra familia y llegar a los necesitados. Si desea darle un regalo o tarjeta de regalo a un niño esta Navidad, puede dejarlo en la Oficina Parroquial y marcarlo para San Vicente de Paul. El tiempo de Navidad es un tiempo de amor y compartir. Compartamos el verdadero significado de la Navidad con todos los que nos encontramos.
Landscaping/Maintenance Ss. Simon and Jude Cathedral Phoenix
Catedral de San Simon y San Judas está buscando un individuo motivado para el puesto de medio tiempo de Paisajismo / Mantenimiento. EL ÉNFASIS SERÁ SOBRE EL PAISAJE, pero también incluye otras tareas.
