VIP Day is March 14th – Register Online Now
Attention all students and parents: It’s time to invite someone special to VIP Day! SSPP’s VIP Day is Thursday, March 14th. The reception and student performances will be held in the school gym beginning at 9 AM. Doors will open to guests at 8:45 AM and the day will end by 11 AM.
VIPs can be mom, dad, grandparents, aunts, uncles - anyone that is special to the student(s), 18 years of age or older).

There’s still time to get your registration in for the Father-Daughter Dance! The dance is this Saturday, March 2nd. Please turn in your form to the school office or send with your student to school by Thursday.
Portillo’s Fundraiser – TOMORROW
Pre-K through 8th grade students are welcome. Guest may include fathers, grandfathers, adult family members or family friends (18+ only). See the flyer following the newsletter for more information.

SSPP school day happenings….
Mr. Freeze Visits SSPP
On Thursday, February 21st Mr. Freeze (Jerry Zimmerman) a physicist from Fermilab presented a cryogenics
demonstration to SSPP’s 2nd through 8th graders. Students were amazed by what happens when you make things, like
soda, flowers, and balloons really cold. They were educated and entertained by the program which included more than
one “explosion”. Mr. Freeze gives these shows to students to encourage them to get excited about science. He
accomplished this task at SSPP!
The presentation was sponsored by Fermilab and the Fermilab Science Education Office.
8th Grades Returns to the 1920’s
SSPP’s 8th grade recently spent part of a day in the Roaring 20’s! The students, dressed in clothing indicative of the era, learned to dance the Charleston. Their dance instructor was special guest Mrs. Dauphin, who is also an 8th grade parent. The students really enjoyed themselves!
Mrs. McDonough is excited to announce a Scholastic Book Fair on our school’s VIP Day, Thursday, March 14th. All money raised will go toward purchasing new books for the library. The book fair will be open from 9 AM to 5 PM. The Scholastic Online Book Fair will be run from March 8th through March 21st. Scholastic Book Fair Coming Soon
SSPP families now have a secure, cash-free way to shop the Scholastic book fair on March 14, our school’s VIP Day. You can create a free Scholastic account that has a pre-authorized spending limit and have funds immediately available to your children so that they can shop during the school day. Are you, or someone you know, ready to make a difference at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic School? Peter, Paul, and Parents, SSPP’s parent-school organization, will be entering the 2019-2020 school year with a new board of directors. One of them could be you!
Peter, Paul, and Parents provides a lot of the extras around school. The organization is responsible for carrying on the school’s traditions like Meet the Teacher, Christmas Bazaar, and VIP

Registration has begun for the 2019-2020 school year. There are several important dates to keep in mind.
For families applying for financial aid through FACTS, the deadline to apply is Friday, March 1st. Scholarship awards will be emailed from FACTS to recipient families by mid-April. Families need to accept or decline scholarship awards in FACTS by

We had 17 entries this week, with a total of 154 entries. Every raffle is worth $1 for PPP to use for events at the school. So, get those box tops in! The next promotion will be with Coke Rewards, so start collecting those codes on the bottle caps of Coca-Cola products or inside 12 packs or cases of Coca-Cola products!

Tuesday, April 30th. Finalized 2019-2020 FACTS tuition agreements will be emailed to families in May.
For returning families, registration fees of $100 per child will be deducted through FACTS on Friday, March 22nd. If your family will not be returning next year, please email Mrs. Strong at [email protected] as soon as possible.
