SS Design Consultants FZE (SSDC) a professional design firm established in UAE, specializes in interior

designing & manufacturing of furniture & fixtures for both residential & commercial premises.

Since inception SSDC has undertaken & successfully executed several residential & commercial projects.

On the commercial front we’ve been fortunate & privileged garner experience across industries from

retail fit-outs to offices and even boutique stores. Whereas in the residential space we’ve had our hands

across varied projects from small to mid to large sized apartments to villas across various new

developments in the UAE.

ABOUT OUR FOUNDER:

Smriti Seth, a home maker herself, today a professional interior designer for who Her Passion Is Her

Profession... from doodling amateurishly all over her notebook to creating high end layouts and plans, a

designer and entrepreneur who has indeed come a long way.

Armed with a degree in Interior designing from a premier designing institute of Mumbai, she set foot in

the world of interior designing in the year 2000, making her foray in the industry and working for top

notch interior designing firms in India. With relocation of family in 2006, Smriti Seth moved base to

Dubai and got her 1st foot into the UAE industry with WESTERN FURNITURE as a Senior Design

Consultant. Involved in designing, supervising and executing various diverse interior projects.

Over the years with a great network, Smriti Seth has gradually and successfully progressed to individually

executing a plethora of projects by forming associations with several related agencies. Her projects

redefine style, technique and aesthetics. Her style of working is an exceptional amalgamation of design

and practicality.

Bearing in mind the needs and desires of her clients, she utilizes her inherent skills and vision to

transform empty confined spaces into specimens of sheer elegance and beauty.



SCOPE OF SERVICES:

End to end solutions for all interior designing & execution related requirements, from commercial to

retail and residential to turn key projects, SSDC offers best expertise in professional services in terms of

fabricators, contractors, designers etc…

A one stop solution provider offering a comprehensive range of interior services that include

conceptualization, plan drawing, material budgeting, supervision, procurements or even customized

manufacturing of furniture and fixtures etc

OUR FOCUSSED APPROACH:

At SS Design each project is given utmost attention and a detailed approach, right from inception to

completion, ensuring no stone is left unturned and to maximise a quality output.

Our committed approach is based on our 6 stage process cycle:

1. Discovery:

o Each project commences with a no-charge initial meeting with the client, their family or

the business team at the property, depending on the type of project. SSDC sees this as an

initial opportunity to discuss the project in detail as well as get the brief right to arrive at

the right approach.

o The key objective is for SSDC’s team to get an insight into the client's personality,

individual tastes, lifestyle and aspirations in case of a residential site. As for commercial,

it is more about the senior management, the business & work culture that defines the

needs from an aesthetic & practical purpose.

o This meeting thus defines the profile of a client, helping SSDC in creating the new scheme

for the finished project being a true reflection of them or their business.

o This is also an opportunity to ensure that key issues are identified and discussed before

work commences. At SSDC we also discuss outline budgets and time scale so that the

project can progress accordingly and seamlessly.

o This meeting is followed up with a written proposal to the client.

2. Concept:

o At this stage SSDC’s team in response to the client's brief creates a concept scheme for

discussion. This is presented in form of draft layouts, showing space utilisation, any

structural modifications and furniture placements.

o SSDC produces mood boards to demonstrate colour schemes, wall and window

treatments along with options for fabrics and finishes.

o At this stage a draft cost plan is also shared, which includes provisional budgets for the

work along with an outline programme.



o Along with the overall project cost, the design fees and payment structures are also

shared at this very stage for overall approvals in order to move ahead with the execution

plan and scheme of things

3. Design:

o Once all elements in the concept design are agreed with the client, the project moves to

the Detail Design and Specification stage. Every element of the scheme is designed and

specified for the client to sign-off.

o Samples are presented for discussion and client approvals. SSDC can also arrange for the

client to see / feel all specified items as relevant on a case to case basis (if required).

o At this stage one can also propose and install accessories as required.

4. Procurement:

o Once the detail design has been agreed a detailed cost plan is presented and shared

online/ offline.

o This sets out the cost of each individual element per room and a summarised project

total.

o To give our clients best value within SSDC’s procurement service, all items are supplied

with the benefit of trade discounts as available and wherever applicable.

5. Project Management:

o SSDC looks into the highest involvement of its team at this stage as it being the most

crucial part of the project

o All work is carried out by SSDC’s contractors with the overall programme drawn up and

agreed between the client, contractor & SSDC team.

o Progress of the project is managed and monitored on site on a regular basis by the key

team member of SSDC and any issues arising in the course of the project are resolved in a

timely and realistic manner to ensure quality and schedules.

6. Dressing & Handover:

o With construction and decoration completed, SSDC arranges for a full site clean before

installing window treatments and carpets.

o The team at SSDC then coordinates the delivery and positioning of all furniture,

furnishings & accessories (based on the approved concept, layout and selections).

o At SSDC we ensure the space you move into is the one that you aspired for thus making it

your ideal nest to live, work n play.
