farm related accidents. 2. Recognize-potential hazards of farming. 3. Determine mechanisms of injury 4. Evaluate safety and preventative measures 5. Reap the benefit of learning by case review.

Nursing/EMS Learner Objective: 1. Cultivate an awareness of the epidemiology and mechanisms of injury from
farm related accidents. 2. Discuss trauma patient cases that review assessment, intervention, and
injury prevention measures used. Purpose/Goal: Provide knowledge on updated treatment standards in trauma nursing care, by showing the latest developments of the trauma nurse’s role in the trauma team when caring for critically injured patients. Trauma care emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. The focus of Trauma Grand Rounds is showing how these different roles come together to work as one.
