Are not the full pages of newspa- pers, daily writings of the columnists, blood stained streets, deserted markets, fresh graves of martyrs and people flooded streets of Jammu and Kashmir enough to shake the con- scious of the rulers in Delhi?,” He cautioned the people that Government of India along with its local agents has started to pour in money and they want to “hire their goons and paid henchmen” to malign and defame the present people’s uprising and this needs to be checked at the earliest. Geelani condemned the policemen who ‘threaten’ the Imams and clerics of dire consequences if they talk about and support the present movement. “These black sheep are once again warned not to test the patience of the people who have decided to take this movement to its logical con- clusion come what may,” he added. Commenting on the reports about the children being called to participate in August 15 celebrations, Geelani said, “The people should not to support the people whose hands are drenched in the blood of our people and are responsible for blinding more than 378 innocents mostly kids.” Expressing anguish over the killings of innocents, Geelani strongly condemned the cold blooded murder of Shabir Ahmad of Tengpora by a Police officer and Riyaz Ahmad of Chatabal by CRPF. “These killings have once again proved that our lives, our honour, our culture and even our dignity are not safe with India.” Commenting on the report that a burqa lad lady had come to the bank in SKIMS and threatened them to stop working as advised by Hurri- yat, Geelani refuted this inde- cent act in clear terms, saying “Banks and hos- pitals come under essential services and such services need not to be effected by hartals & strikes.” Geelani repeated the call to comply with Tuesday’s programme of sanitation and cleanliness drive from 10 am to 4 pm in Mohalas, villages, localities and hos- pitals under the guidance of local Masjids committees and hold peaceful protests from Asr to Magrib. Meanwhile, Geelani has strongly condemned the atrocities on people at Khanabal this morning. “One police officer, who is a duty officer, came to the spot at Chee village Khanabal where men and women were prepar- ing for today’s protest against the recent killings. He burnt their tent and took away other equipment. He without any provocation resorted to pellet shelling injuring dozens of people including more than seven women who received pallet injuries in their private parts,” Geelani said, demand- ing action against the ‘erring’ police officer. Yasin Malik slams killing of 3 more civilians GK NEWS NETWORK Srinagar, Aug 6: The Incar- cerated chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik has strongly condemned the killing of three more civilians and injuries to around 400 across Valley on Friday. “We strongly condemn the ongoing oppression on Kash- miris all over Kashmir during which three more innocents have fallen to the bullets of forces and around 400 people have been injured on August 5, Friday, alone,” Yasin Malik, said in a statement. “This spree of killings and firings is going on and its soul motive is to sup- press people’s revolution by brute force. Forces, who at the behest of rulers initiate violence by stopping peace- ful programs and showering bullets, teargas, pepper gas shells, pellets and stones to kill and injure peaceful people,” he added. “As the rulers issue orders to their forces to suppress people by military might, therefore they are directly responsible for all innocent killings, injuries and losses and according to the law of retribu- tion they will have to answer for their crimes against human- ity,” Yasin Malik said. Yasin Malik thanked the people of Doda, Kishtwar, Baderwah, Ramban, Banihal, Poonch and Rajouri for express- ing solidarity with their Kash- miri brethren. Meanwhile, Yasin Malik has strongly condemned the high handedness of police offi- cer with the womenfolk at Shi, Khanabal, in Anantnag district, injuring many of them. Condemning the arrest spree throughout the valley, a JKLF spokesman said, “Police last night arrested JKLF block- president Kakapora Pulwama Shabir Ahmad Ganaie and immediately shifted him to Kathua jail after slapping black law PSA on him.” He also condemned the continued detention of senior JKLF leader Zahoor Ahmad Butt, younger brother of JKLF founder Muhammad Maqbool Butt, since 20th July 2016. Govt at war with Kashmiris: Mirwaiz GK NEWS NETWORK Srinagar, Aug 6: Term- ing the use of excessive force and military might on peaceful and unarmed protesters resulting in the killing of over 60 civilians and injuries to thousands of people during the past month as the worst example of oppression, Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (M), Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, who has been under house arrest for a month now, on Saturday said the way three unarmed innocents were martyred and around 400 injured since Friday makes it clear that the state government has launched a war against Kashmiris and, by indulging in the blood- bath of the people, is com- mitting gravest of atrocities on the principle of “every- thing is fair in war”. Condemning the “atroci- ties” committed on the people in every nook and corner of Kashmir by forces and imposition of continu- ous curfew, restrictions and curbs imposed in Srinagar and most parts of the Valley besides the arrest spree of over 600 youth, Hurriyat activists and other resis- tance groups, Mirwaiz said, “Police and forces are raiding the houses of people and trampling the sanctity of houses breaking their window panes, abus- ing people and this violent approach of forces has creat- ed havoc across Kashmir. “ Mirwaiz said that through these harsh measures the rulers want to defeat peoples will but these forces of evil should know that peoples will and their passion for freedom has and will not be defeated by military might. Mirwaiz said the govern- ment was indulging in bar- baric ways of dealing with protes- tors by indis- criminate use of pel- lets tear smoke shells, which w e r e aimed to injure and kill. Paying glowing tributes to Muhammad Maqbool Wagay, Sameer Ahmad Wani and Danish Rasool Mir, who were martyred during the violence perpet- uated by government forces on Friday, the Mirwaiz expressed sympathy and solidarity with their grief- struck families and con- soled them as entire nation is in grief and mourning. Mirwaiz prayed for the early recovery of hundreds of people who were injured on Friday and today. DPM condemns continuous detention of its chairman Srinagar, Aug 6: Democratic Political Movement (DPM) Saturday con- demned the continuous detention of party chairman Advocate Muham- mad Shafi Reshi who according to party spokesperson was shiſted from Saddar Police Station to his Barzulla based house. The spokesman said by doing this, the government was giving vent to its frustration. Facebook Post AI castigates Police for booking Kashmiri youth on sedition charges Srinagar, Aug 6: The Amnesty International has described the arrest of a Kashmiri man on charges of 'sedition’ for sharing 'anti-India' posts on Face- book is an absurd use of an archaic law to curb freedom of expression. “On 4 August, the Chhattisgarh police arrested Tausiq Ahmed from a railway station in Madhya Pradesh, based on a complaint lodged in Durg, Chhattisgarh. The Superintendent of Police, Durg, said that a First Information Report (FIR) had been registered against Tausiq Ahmed under section 124A of the Indian Penal Code, which defines sedition as any act or attempt “to bring into hatred or con- tempt, or…excite disaf- fection towards the gov- ernment,” said Arijit Sen, Programmes Manager at Amnesty International India. “The right to freedom of expression extends to speech that may be consid- ered offensive by some,” said Arijit Sen. “A criminal case for such conduct is not justi- fied,” he added. Geelani reacts to GoI’s report about Kashmir to SCBanks, hospitals exempted from hartal

GK News NetworK

Srinagar, Aug 6: Reacting to the Delhi government’s report about Kashmir to the Supreme Court that ‘all is well’ in Jammu and Kash-mir, the Hurriyat Confer-ence (G) chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani on Saturday said, “Even on the day when this report was filed four innocents were killed and more than 500 people injured by the forces and police.”

In a statement here Gee-lani said, “If this is the normalcy then people at the helm of affairs at Delhi seem are unaware of the ground realities. Are not the full pages of newspa-pers, daily writings of the columnists, blood stained streets, deserted markets, fresh graves of martyrs and people flooded streets of Jammu and Kashmir enough to shake the con-scious of the rulers in Delhi?,”

He cautioned the people that Government of India along with its local agents has started to pour in money and they want to “hire their goons and paid henchmen” to malign and defame the present people’s uprising and this needs to be checked at the earliest.

Geelani condemned the

policemen who ‘threaten’ the Imams and clerics of dire consequences if they talk about and support the present movement. “These black sheep are once again warned not to test the patience of the people who have decided to take this movement to its logical con-clusion come what may,” he added.

Commenting on the reports about the children being called to participate in August 15 celebrations, Geelani said, “The people should not to support the people whose hands are drenched in the blood of our people and are responsible for blinding more than 378 innocents mostly kids.”

Expressing anguish over the killings of innocents, Geelani strongly condemned the cold blooded murder of Shabir Ahmad of Tengpora by a Police officer and Riyaz Ahmad of Chatabal by CRPF. “These killings have once again proved that our lives, our honour, our culture and even our dignity are not safe with India.”

Commenting on the report that a burqa lad lady had come to the bank in SKIMS and threatened them to stop working as advised by Hurri-yat, Geelani refuted this inde-cent act in clear terms, saying

“ B a n k s and hos-p i t a l s c o m e u n d e r essential services and such services need not to be effected by hartals & strikes.”

Geelani repeated the call to comply with Tuesday’s programme of sanitation and cleanliness drive from 10 am to 4 pm in Mohalas, villages, localities and hos-pitals under the guidance of local Masjids committees and hold peaceful protests from Asr to Magrib.

Meanwhile, Geelani has strongly condemned the atrocities on people at Khanabal this morning. “One police officer, who is a duty officer, came to the spot at Chee village Khanabal where men and women were prepar-ing for today’s protest against the recent killings. He burnt their tent and took away other equipment. He without any provocation resorted to pellet shelling injuring dozens of people including more than seven women who received pallet injuries in their private parts,” Geelani said, demand-ing action against the ‘erring’ police officer.

Yasin Malik slams killing of 3 more civilians

GK News NetworK

Srinagar, Aug 6: The Incar-cerated chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik has strongly condemned the killing of three more civilians and injuries to around 400 across Valley on Friday.

“We strongly condemn the ongoing oppression on Kash-miris all over Kashmir during which three more innocents have fallen to the bullets of forces and around 400 people have been injured on August 5, Friday, alone,” Yasin Malik, said in a statement.

“This spree of killings and firings is going on and its soul motive is to sup-press people’s revolution by brute force. Forces, who at the behest of rulers initiate violence by stopping peace-ful programs and showering bullets, teargas, pepper gas shells, pellets and stones to kill and injure peaceful people,” he added.

“As the rulers issue orders to their forces to suppress people by military might, therefore they are directly responsible for all innocent killings, injuries and losses and according to the law

of retribu-tion they will have to answer for their c r i m e s against human-ity,” Yasin M a l i k said.

Yasin Malik thanked the people of Doda, Kishtwar, Baderwah, Ramban, Banihal, Poonch and Rajouri for express-ing solidarity with their Kash-miri brethren.

Meanwhile, Yasin Malik has strongly condemned the high handedness of police offi-cer with the womenfolk at Shi, Khanabal, in Anantnag district, injuring many of them.

Condemning the arrest spree throughout the valley, a JKLF spokesman said, “Police last night arrested JKLF block-president Kakapora Pulwama Shabir Ahmad Ganaie and immediately shifted him to Kathua jail after slapping black law PSA on him.”

He also condemned the continued detention of senior JKLF leader Zahoor Ahmad Butt, younger brother of JKLF founder Muhammad Maqbool Butt, since 20th July 2016.

Govt at war with Kashmiris: MirwaizGK News NetworK

Srinagar, Aug 6: Term-ing the use of excessive force and military might on peaceful and unarmed protesters resulting in the killing of over 60 civilians and injuries to thousands of people during the past month as the worst example of oppression, Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (M), Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, who has been under house arrest for a month now, on Saturday said the way three unarmed innocents were martyred and around 400 injured since Friday makes it clear that the state government has launched a war against Kashmiris and, by indulging in the blood-bath of the people, is com-mitting gravest of atrocities on the principle of “every-thing is fair in war”.

Condemning the “atroci-ties” committed on the

people in every nook and corner of Kashmir by forces and imposition of continu-ous curfew, restrictions and curbs imposed in Srinagar and most parts of the Valley besides the arrest spree of over 600 youth, Hurriyat activists and other resis-tance groups, Mirwaiz said, “Police and forces are raiding the houses of people and trampling the sanctity of houses breaking their window panes, abus-ing people and this violent approach of forces has creat-ed havoc across Kashmir. “

Mirwaiz said that through these harsh measures the rulers want to defeat peoples will but these forces of evil should know that peoples will and their passion for freedom has and will not be defeated by military might.

Mirwaiz said the govern-ment was indulging in bar-baric ways of dealing with

p r o t e s -tors by i n d i s -criminate use of pel-lets tear s m o k e s h e l l s , w h i c h w e r e aimed to injure and kill.

Paying glowing tributes to Muhammad Maqbool Wagay, Sameer Ahmad Wani and Danish Rasool Mir, who were martyred during the violence perpet-uated by government forces on Friday, the Mirwaiz expressed sympathy and solidarity with their grief-struck families and con-soled them as entire nation is in grief and mourning. Mirwaiz prayed for the early recovery of hundreds of people who were injured on Friday and today.

AI castigates Police for booking Kashmiri youth on sedition charges Srinagar, Aug 6: The Amnesty International has described the arrest of a Kashmiri man on charges of 'sedition’ for sharing 'anti-India' posts on Face-book is an absurd use of an archaic law to curb freedom of expression.

“On 4 August, the C h h a t t i s g a r h p o l i c e arrested Tausiq Ahmed from a railway station in

Madhya Pradesh, based on a complaint lodged in Durg, Chhattisgarh. The Superintendent of Police, Durg, said that a First Information Report (FIR) had been registered against Tausiq Ahmed under section 124A of the Indian Penal Code, which defines sedition as any act or attempt “to bring into hatred or con-

tempt, or…excite disaf-fection towards the gov-ernment,” said Arijit Sen, Programmes Manager at Amnesty International India.

“The right to freedom of expression extends to speech that may be consid-ered offensive by some,” said Arijit Sen. “A criminal case for such conduct is not justi-fied,” he added.
