A prolific batsman, he led Hyderabad’s Ranji side for 13 years. The highlight of his cricketing career was when he scored 366 runs against Andhra, in the 1993 Ranji series, where Hyderabad posted a mammoth total of 944 for 6 (decl). Over the duration of his cricketing career, Sridhar scored 21 centuries in first class cricket, he holds the record for being the highest run getter for Hyderabad in the Ranji Trophy. He was a medical doctor by training, but chose to pursue his passion for cricket after completing his medical studies in 1989. During his student days, he captained the Osmania Medical College cricket team, besides taking part in other sports like tennis and table tennis. On the professional front, Sridhar carved out a career in the corporate field – he worked for Tech Mahindra for fifteen years (formerly Satyam Computers Limited) in various capacities, leading the Corporate Services and Human Resources functions. He held the role of General Manager in the Board of Control for Cricket in India from 2013 to 2017. Sridhar was known for his people management skills. He served as Media Manager for the Indian team in 2007 and Manager to Indian team to West Indies in 2013. Sridhar Venkat Maturi, or “Doc” as he was fondly called, was a

Rules & Regulations

1. Only registered players of TSTTA for the year 2018 can participate in the Championships. Players who have not registered for the year 2018 can register themselves along with a registration fee of Rs. 500/- (per player) at the venue.

2. All the matches will be played in accordance with the rules and regulations as approved by TTFI.

3. Eligibility Criteria:• Youth Boys & girls event born on or after 01.01.1998• Junior Boys & Girls event born on or after 01.01.2001• Sub-Junior Boys & girls event born on or after 01.01.2004• Cadet Boys & Girls event born on or after 01.01.2007

4. Players should produce Original Date of Birth Certificate on demand

5. Players must be ready to play any number of matches in a day.

6. The Decision of Organizing Committee shall be final and binding in all matters connected with the Championships.

7. Punctuality will be strictly followed.

8. STAG 40 + Plastic balls will be used for the Championships.

9. Free accommodation and food will be provided to out station players only. The accommodation will be provided on the basis of actual number of players participating.

10. The entry fees for participating in the tournaments would be as below –

Cadet & Sub Junior event – Rs. 100/-•

• Junior/ Youth/ Men & Women event – Rs. 200/-• Inter Institution Team event – Rs. 500/- per team

11. As per TSTTA guidelines, the prizes for individual events are as follows:
