ABOUT THE INSTITUTION

Sri Vidya College of Engineering &Technology was established in the year 2008. Itwas approved by AICTE, New Delhi andaffiliated to Anna University, Chennai. It wasfounded by Er.R ThiruvengadaRamanuja Doss,Chairman, Sri Vidya group of Institutions. Thecampus of the institution is spread over 45acres of land. It offers higher education inEngineering and Technology to the current andfuture needs of the society. Besidespromoting research and disseminatingknowledge gained there from, it promotes co-operation between the academic and institutionalcommunities. The institution offers 5 UGprogrammes and 4 PG programmes.

The Department of Chemistrybecame a part of the institution in the year2008.The department has faculty memberswho are experts in various disciplineshaving both industrial and teachingexperience, aims at educating and trainingstudents, with sound knowledge andawareness in the latest trends in NanoTechnology.
