Q: Firewall: when we define the rules, is it sequential in its packet filtering base on the rule?

A: Yes, it is.

Q: For NAT , what does it mean when you say one-to-many, many-to-many, many-to-one ?

A: NAT method:       one-to-many: one WAN port IP address to multiple LAN IP address.       many-to-many: multiple WAN (public IP address) to multiple LAN IP address.       one-to-one: one WAN IP address to one LAN IP address.

Method of "Load Balance” :

1. Load Balance will switching traffic automatically.2. Load Balance switch traffic is base on settings of IP address, port number (service) and bandwidth.   3. SR-634 always check WAN #1 & WAN #2 are available (connection to default router) or not available every 5 second (checking gateway IP). 4. SR-634 will transmit all traffics to a WAN port which is available and will released the traffics to their own WAN which "Load Balance" is indicated. It is needs to take least than 2 minutes for traffic released. 5. Load balance is by IP session base.6. Method of Load balance by "Bandwidth" , for example the case of 60% : 40%.    When the environment with low traffic, SR-634 will bypass traffic to WAN #1 60% and to WAN #2 40%, all by IP session of course.     But if the traffic is busy at WAN #1 at the recent time, SR-634 will bypass traffic (likes new up sessions ) to WAN #2 even WAN #1's session have not up to 60%.

For testing load balance in your lab, please make sure that both WAN are connected and can visit Internet at the first. After all, then try doing test again.So, if you are using PPPoE as connection type, be sure the PPPoE connected
