SquareWhen a number is multiplied by itself then the number is
the square number.EXAMPLE: 2x2=4=2²
Perfect SquareA square number if it is the
square of some natural number is called Perfect
square.Example:
225 is a perfect of 15.
Square root
If a number is divided by its own square, it gives value of
root.EXAMPLE: √4 = 2 , √9 = 3 , √144 = 12
Pythagorean TripletThree natural number B, P
and H are such that, B2 + P2 = H2 . Such triplets (B,
P and H) are called Pythagorean Triplet.
(m is a natural number greater than 1)B = 2m
P = m2 – 1 H = m2 +1 B2 + P2 = H2
(2m)2 + (m2 – 1)2 = (m2 +1)2
NOTE:The number of zeros in the
end of a perfect square number is never odd. It is
always even.Example: 1000 is not a perfect square.
