SQTR & 101 Cards

Cadets are responsible for knowing what sign-offs they need, obtaining sign-off’s once they receive the

necessary sign-offs, printing their SQTRs prior to training, and printing their 101 card prior to going on a

training or real mission.

GES 116 (General Emergency Services) is a pre-requisite for all Emergency Service activities.

Viewing your SQTR

2. Once logged in hover your mouse over Operations on the left hand side of the page. Then click

on Operations Qualifications.

3. To view or print your SQTR click on Entry/View Worksheet on the left hand side of the page.

A. Then enter your CAPID in the text box at the top of the page.

B. Click the Search Icon.

4. Select the SQTR you would like to view or print from the Achievement drop down box.

5. SQTRs may contain many qualifications and some require Familiarization and Preparatory

Training (PreFam Prep). If the SQTR requires PreFam Prep, these qualifications must be

completed prior to receiving Commander Approval for Training Status.

A. If you can’t read the entire description of a task, hover your mouse over the description

and you will be able to read the full description of the task.

This one is Task O-0001 (Prepare Ground Team individual Equipment) = 24 Hour

Pack

Items in Grey have not been signed off.

Items in Green have been entered and approved by the SET.

Items in Yellow have been entered, but are pending approval from the SET.

Print your SQTR

6. Print your SQTR with Existing Qualifications and/or your name on the SQTR.

A. Once you have displayed the desired SQTR to be printed, at the bottom of the page you

will see several buttons and a drop down box.

To print SQTR select Current Version in the drop down box.

A PDF file will download to your computer.

Open the PDF file and print the document.

1. If you have not started working on this SQTR, it will print out “blank” with

your name, CAPID, and Date the SQTR is printed.

Entering Qualifications

7. Enter Qualifications into eServices

A. Once you have displayed the desired SQTR to be signed off. Go to the desired task to be

checked off.

DATE: Enter the date the Qualification was completed.

EVALUATOR: Enter the SETs CAPID number.

1. On the printed SQTR the SET should have signed off and provided their

CAPID. A pop-up box will display to enter the SETs CAPID or Name.

a. NOTE: Occasionally a SET may offer to enter the information for

you. Still have them sign the printed SQTR if possible or follow up

within a few days to ensure you were signed off. At the very least

make sure you have the SETs name.

Mission ID: Not Required unless this sign-off was completed during a training or

real mission.

Certificate ID: Not Required unless it’s for a certificate of some kind and has a

Certificate #.

1. NOTE: The certificate will need to be uploaded into eServices as well.

B. Click Submit at the bottom of the page once you have updated all the desire tasks to be

approved by the SET.

You will see the below pop-up box.

Click OK.

C. The qualifications you just entered will now be Yellow and show as pending until the SET

approves the qualification on their end, when it will turn Green.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

After receiving sign-offs, you should IMMEDIATELY add those to your online SQTR in eServices for

the SET to approve.

DO NOT WAIT, if you wait, the SET may no longer be in CAP or no longer SET qualified when you

go to enter, if you wait a few months to enter your qualification.

DO NOT LOOSE your SQTR, even though you have entered the information into eServices.

Keep the same sheet until ALL qualifications are signed off. You will need to upload this

document once you have all qualifications and missions signed off.

Recommend to create a file or folder at home to keep all SQTRs in one place.

Uploading a document or certificate

1. Login to eServices, Go to Operations Qualifications, and Click on Entry/View Worksheet.

A. Follow Steps 1 – 3 above, if you need help

B. NOTE: Scan and save the document or download the certificate to a folder on your

computer where you can find it. Then upload into eServices.

2. Click on View/Upload Documents

3. You will see a pop-up box

A. From the What would you like to upload? Dropdown box select the qualification that your

certificate relates to or applies too.

NOTE: If it applies to several SQTRs you only need to select one and it can be any

of them. It will automatically apply to all SQTRs once it is approved.

B. Click on the Choose File button and locate the file to be uploaded and click OK.

You will then see the name of the file to the right of the Choose File button.

C. Click on the Upload ES Files Button.

Under Documents Uploaded you will then see the file you uploaded and the date.\

NOTE: If you make a mistake you can click the Remove file link.

4. Once you are done close the pop-up box.

5. Select the Achievement / SQTR you would like to apply your certificate too.

A. Ex: First Aid can apply to your GTM3 Qualification and other qualifications.

B. You will then enter the qualification in the desired SQTR. Check the box for the

corresponding qualification. Ex: First Aid.

Enter the Date the certificate was issued.

In the Evaluator box, 2nd box, you will get a pop-up.

1. Select Other Organization

2. Enter the name of the Evaluator Organization / agency name

3. Click Submit

4. NOTE: Most likely certified through another agency even if it was a CAP

member teaching the class.

Mission ID, box 3, will likely be left blank.

Certificate ID, box 4, enter the certificate number if you have one. If not you can

leave this field blank.

C. Move down to the bottom of the SQTR document and click Submit.

D. Click ok to the Submission Notice.

E. Your Qualification will then be Pending Validation until it is approved by the appropriate

person (Commander, SET Qualified member, etc.)

Print 101 Card

Q: What is a 101 CARD?

A: A 101 Card is your Specialty Qualification Card. The 101 Card shows your information, your current

SQTR qualifications, and whether you are in trainee status or qualified.

Any time you attend a SAREX, Ground Team, UDF, Air Crew, or related Training or Mission, you need to

have your 101 card with you.

The card must be current and printed the month you are attending the activity.

EX: You cannot go to a SAREX with a 101 Card you printed out 2 months ago, it must be

from the current month or they can turn you away from the activity.

1. Login to eServices, Go to Operations Qualifications, and Click on 101 Card.

a. Follow Steps 1 – 2 above, if you need help

2. Enter your CAPID in the text box.

3. Your 101 Card will display

4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and find the Click here to print link.

a. Your 101 Card will display again.

b. Click Print 101 Card in the upper left hand corner of the page.

NOTE: You can cut the card out, you only need your information and qualifications. You do not need the

list of Specialty Qualifications and their definitions.

Glossary

101 Card – CAPF 101

101 Card, may also be refered to as CAPF 101, is required to participate in and train for any

Emergency Services Qualification or activity. This card shows mission staff at a glance what

qualifications you have and if you are qualified or in training status when you sign in for a

mission.

IS100 – IS-100 / FEMA ICS-100 (IS-100.b)

ICS 100, Introduction to the Incident Command System, introduces the Incident Command

System (ICS) and provides the foundation for higher level ICS training. This course describes the

history, features and principles, and organizational structure of the ICS. It also explains the

relationships between ICS and the National Incident Management System (NIMS).

IS200 – IS-200 / FEMA IS-200.b (ICS 200)

ICS 200 is designed to enable personnel to operate efficiently during an incident or event within

the Incident Command System (ICS). ICS-200 provides training on and resources for personnel

who are likely to assume a supervisory position within the ICS.

IS700 – IS-700 / FEMA ICS-700 (IS-700.b)

This course provides an overview of the National Incident Management System (NIMS). The

National Incident Management System defines the comprehensive approach guiding the whole

community - all levels of government, nongovernmental organizations (NGO), and the private

sector - to work together seamlessly to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to, and

recover from the effects of incidents. The course provides learners with a basic understanding of

NIMS concepts, principles, and components.

GES 116 – General Emergency Services

The GES 116 Test is a prerequisite for all of the common CAP Emergency Services ratings. This

online test must be completed and validated by the unit commander before any member can

participate in Emergency Services training, missions, or exercises.

GTM3 – Ground Team Member Level 3

Missions are frequently initiated during periods of adverse weather or other inopportune

moments when air operations may be precluded or limited, for example, immediately following a

storm or in the middle of the night. Ground teams can often be dispatched to gather

information, search suspected high probability areas, search for missing persons, locate ELT

transmissions, verify airborne sightings, etc.

MRO – Mission Radio Operator

SET – Skills Examiner Trainer

The purpose of SET is to provide standard guidance and education for personnel that will conduct

and certify emergency services training throughout CAP.

SQTR – Specialty Qualification Training Record

SQTR’s are forms that track what is needed for each Operations training position. You can use

these forms on the field training exercises to document on paper the items that you qualified in.

This is needed because the SET (Skills Examiner Trainer) has to sign off at the time of the training.

You can then bring the paper back and enter the information into E-Services at your

convenience.

UDF – Urban Direction Finding Team

UDF Teams are comprised of two or more people, UDF gear and a vehicle. Locating accidentally

activated ELT's is by far the most common mission we are called to do. These missions are an

excellent training opportunity for the real thing.
