Spyder 1330 ECU Removal

The Engine ECU is located on LEFT side of bike. (sitting on bike). Black connector header. NOTE: On the right side of bike is the transmission ecu that is similar looking, but with green connector header. Remove left side panel. (4 screws). On an RT, the ecu is down by foot. And ecu is mounted with flat side pointing out. On F3, it is by your knee area. And ecu is mounted with flat side pointed inwards.

There is 3 screws holding the ecu in place. Remove. To disconnect the ecu connectors / wiring harness. You must first press a locking tab to release the lever so that lever can be moved 90 degrees and will release from ecu at same time.

View of connector top. (bottom since connector is upside down). To release lever, Push lock tab and pull lever over tab at same time.

The connector will pop out of ecu when its in the release position.

Reverse procedure to re-install.
