Recap of the week

The design sprint is over, and there have been a lot of exciting learnings through the week.

This deck intends to serve as a summarised report of the sprint, for reference and documentation.

We would like to thank everyone who participated in the workshop. The enthusiasm has been very encouraging.

Design sprints can be both stimulating and hectic, so hopefully your team found the process as enjoyable as we did and found the insights worthwhile.

The prototype that was created after the 2 workshop days and exercises has been tested with a variety of users and the resulting feedback will be incorporated into the next iteration of designs.

Day 1: Monday : How Might we…

On the first half of Tuesday we went through exercises to define the key challenges of the product that needed should tackle first in this opening sprint.

The goal was to build momentum and a foundation for the project to continue on with.

Top Voted HMWs • How might we have a seamless appeal workflow for no results?

• How might we help first time users get onboard fast?

• How might we build credibility with users?

• How might we communicate the authenticity of the product?

• How might we help users compare data?

• How might we easily integrate into the background check workflow?

• How might we separate workflows for members and verifiers?

• How might we showcase a summary view and notifications?

Day 2: Tuesday : UX Flow

After spending time reviewing and voting on the great concept solutions we all created, we made decisions on which ideas and concepts we want to experiment with to solve our challenge.

Once the decision was made, we finalised a flow of screens through a democratic voting process, and later created a detailed storyboard for the prototype.

Day 4 & 5 : Thursday and Friday : User Interviews

User Interviews / Testing the Prototype

Overall, the product resonated with users who appeared more concerned with the logistical aspects of employment verification rather than the ease of use of product.

There were some learnings around clarity of messaging + recommendations related to setting of expectations and other tangible aspects of the product to increase efficiency of use.

Amit :

It is difficult to know which fields are mandatory.

My open appeals (actionable items) should appear upfront on homepage - need not be 2 step.

Sequence of columns on the search and appeal history should have report number and reference ID next to each other

Filter option in the history is not obvious. ‘Type’ of record should be mentioned with the filter

Search Query can be renamed to ‘input’ search enquiry for clarity on the Report.

Technical - Do not know size or format of file to be uploaded, at both places. As well as number of words I can write in issue.

Colour of appeal status can perhaps change from amber to red if a certain timeline has been crossed.

Nurul :

Overall screens are intuitive.

Our issues with such platforms has less to do with the design experience and more to do with the logistical delays

Confusing to know which fields are mandatory to fill.

Report should have labels for all fields.

Wanted to explore the invoicing workflow some more.

Arjun/Ranjith :

After raising an appeal there should be a number of days it will take to respond to appeal to set expectations of user.

Easy to manoeuvre through the screens.

Each company has their own terms and if certain candidate has exited 2-3 days ago, the information takes a while to show up in the database. What can I do in such cases?

Point of contact should appear with report, and appeal - Chat support or contact number.

Suhel :

Can the system throw and error/inform me when I input details of a candidate that I have already searched before.

Prompt to refill wallet should be on homepage.

Not easy to know which fields have to be filled and which may be left out.

Screens look good, no problem navigating and understanding the call to actions.
