An original member of folk big band Bellowhead, she is now working on a new solo project of traditional songs and is playing with a brand new band, The Cartographers.

PROMENADE CONCERT ORCHESTRA – MUSIC FROM THE PALM COURTThe essence of light music comes from the early nineteenth century until the 1960s, when live music could be heard everywhere; in cafes and concert halls, spas and watering places, dance halls and piers. THEATRE ROTTO PRESENTS: LEAPING FROGTheatre Rotto brings us a new puppet adventure following the journey of Goggles, a jaunty wood frog, who leaps unsuspecting from Little Pond into BIG Pond! Along the way Leaping Frog takes children on a natural history journey in a series of tantalising visual scenes with live music, percussion, storytelling and puppets. Duration: 45 minutes. COUNTRY SUPERSTARSEurope’s Number One Multi –Tribute Country Show. Celebrating the 50th Anniversary in 2019 of Dolly Parton being a Member of the Grand Ole Opry this unique show is hosted by Sarah Jayne who has been performing as Dolly Parton for over 25 years. HATS OFF TO LED ZEPPELIN The international sensation Hats Off to Led Zeppelin return. The band are managed by Warren Grant, son of Led Zeppelin’s legendary manager Peter Grant, they have been named the Official UK No.1 tribute to the gods of Rock and Roll for three years running at the National Tribute Awards and in 2019 were voted Best Tribute Band in the UK.

CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVED FEAT. JOHNNY GUITAR WILLIAMSONCreedence Clearwater Revived, featuring Johnnie ‘Guitar’ Williamson, have been touring the globe for decades performing John Fogerty and Creedence Clearwater Revival songs. This is a rare chance to see a classic British band perform their interpretation of a classic American set. THE RAYMOND FROGGATT SHOWRaymond Froggatt first formed his band in Birmingham in 1964, surrounded by talented friends including the likes of Black Sabbath’s Ozzy Osbourne and Tony Iommi as well as the Electric Light Orchestra’s Jeff Lynne and Roy Wood among others. Raymond continues to write and tour around the world with his band performing songs spanning a 54 year career.

With every year Sandy’s reputation grows in stature, both as a songwriter and an interpreter of traditional material, and the six musicians in the band who share an impressive folk-rock pedigree are each at the top of their game. BOOTLEG BLONDIE The only Blondie tribute to play the legendary CBGB in New York. Not only have they had the honour to be thanked on Blondie’s 11th album ‘Pollinator’ but have actually played not one but two tours with Blondie’s legendary drummer Clem Burke. Lead vocalist, Debbie Harris, has the looks, the voice and the attitude of the original Blondie bombshell and starred on BBC One’s ‘Even Better Than The Real Thing’.

MORECAMBE RIDES AGAIN SCOOTER RALLY2020 will see the welcome return of the Morecambe Rides Again Scooter Rally. The First Kick Scooter Collective of Morecambe have organised events throughout the town from July 10th – 12th. Saturday 11th July sees The Platform hosting a ‘Fab’ Mod band - The Immediates, DJ’s, stalls, scooter display and at 12.30pm – the arrival of the mass scooter ride-in. Free entry from 10am

FREESTAGEAs part of Morecambe Music Festival the Platform will once again host Freestage. Local musicians are given a unique opportunity to showcase their talent in this iconic venue using professional sound equipment and engineer. Established musicians airing new material will be joined by exciting new artists on stage for the first time. Expect the weird, wonderful and downright talented! LISA STANLEYLisa Stanley is undoubtedly one of Ireland’s top female vocalists. ROCK BACK THE CLOCK STARRING THE FORTUNESRock Back The Clock with 60s chart-topping group The Fortunes, famous for hits such as You’ve Got Your Troubles, Here It Comes Again, Storm in a Teacup and Freedom Come, Freedom Go. The band will be supported by stars of the 60s The Fabulous Fontaines and top Merseybeat band Shooter. Event runs until midnight. Tickets include hotpot supper.

TIPITINATipitina are the real thing. A hugely talented combo delivering the red hot and rocking music from the New Orleans of Dr John, James Booker, Professor Longhair and Fats Domino. Singer Debbie Jones is a powerhouse, with roots in Gospel. Meanwhile pianist Justin Randall is quite simply the finest and most exciting New Orleans style player from outside of Louisiana.

CIRQUE ENFANT - CHILDREN’S SHOWFrom Tots to Teens, the kids will rock out to the great music of Cirque Enfant as this interactive fun show brings amazing acrobats, jugglers, clowns, sing-a-long and so much more to the stage. Audiences of all ages join in with the madness and mayhem of this laugh out loud circus cabaret that kids of all ages simply love.

MODEL RAILWAY EXHIBITIONAs part of Morecambe Carnival, The Platform presents: ‘A Model Railway Exhibition’ a Storth Model Railway Club Event. Model enthusiasts can marvel at the featured and guest layouts with plenty of nostalgia from the Hornby clockwork system in 0 gauge featuring trains that would have carried visitors to the Midland Hotel. There will be 00 scale layouts with classic steam heritage, modern engines and rolling stock on display plus G scale layouts with new added features.

JIMMY JEMAIN IS THE SHADOW OF CLIFFJimmy Jemain is now firmly established as the UK Number 1 Cliff Richard tribute, as voted by the Entertainments Agents Association. Jimmy attended the same school and even lived on the same housing estate as Cliff. He has performed as Sir Cliff in “Cliff The Musical” at London’s West End Prince Of Wales Theatre and this year celebrated thirty years as a tribute to his idol.
