East City and Framingham Earl Area Children’s Centre is a Sure Start Children’s Centre which is based on the site of Cavell Primary School. It is a centre which works with families who have children aged between 0 and 5 throughout the south part of the city, as far south as Brooke.

Any family, no matter where they live can attend. We currently run activities and courses on a wide range of themes, from 14 different venues throughout our reach area.

Unless otherwise stated, all activities are FREE at the point of contact. All you have to do is turn up and join in the fun! More details about each of the activities on offer, when and where they are happening, can be seen in the following pages.

The Base is a community and family support centre which is situated on The Hewett

School site. It is a partnership between Barnardo’s, the Central Norwich Foundation Trust and the

Parkside Special School Trust.

The Base and the East City and

Framingham Earl Area Children’s Centre

are working together to offer families the

services that they have asked for. We are always open to new ideas and aim to

support our communities in the best way

possible so please let us know if there is anything you would like to see offered and we will do our

best to try and provide it for you.

We run Youth Clubs and support services for young people, mainly after school, but also have a

range of services throughout the week for parents, carers and families to access. All of the adult

services are currently free of charge and we welcome new members. More details about what we

have on at The Base can be found in the following pages of this booklet and if you have any questions,

please get in touch with Gemma at [email protected] or call on 01603 463121.

If you are interested in coming in to have a look around The Base, we have a drop-in coffee morning

on a Tuesday morning (term time), where Sarah our Parent Support Adviser will be on hand to

welcome you with a cup of tea and give you a tour round.
