SAM's Pre-Kicks and Kickers programs are expanding! This winter we are introducing 2 Kicks, a program designed specifically for 2 year olds. This parent-assisted (parents are required to attend the class with the children) class will focus on developing skills such as walking, balance, coordination and socialization. Additionally, the very basics of soccer – such as kicking and dribbling will be introduced.

• Provides an atmosphere for player development and enjoyment of the game• Promotes having fun with the ball while learning the fundamentals

• Focuses on developing a relationship with their teammates in a fun environment• Games teach players to test their ball skills and improve their awareness• Games are free flowing, coach-guided and enable all players on the field to participate in all aspects of the game

• Focuses on ball skills and decision making• Key elements for player development focus on enjoyment and insight into the game as well as fitness, mental toughness and results!

The Bethesda Soccer Club & Maryland SoccerPlex successfully hosted the first Embassy Cup June 19-21, 2015 with 73 teams. The second

annual Embassy Cup will be June 17-19, 2016 at the MD SoccerPlex.

Embassy Cup is a GotSoccer Gold rated tournament for the Boys and a GotSoccer Silver rated tournament for the Girls.

Bethesda Soccer Club with over 30 years of sponsoring premier tournaments in the fall, in a partnership with the Maryland

SoccerPlex Foundation, started the Embassy Cup in the summer of 2015. All games are played primarily at the MD SoccerPlex, one of

New this Year!The BlackRock Center for the Arts is thrilled to partner with the Maryland Soccerplex & Discovery Sports Center in Germantown, MD to bring a half-day Sports and a half-day Arts Camp in the afternoons for 6 weeks in June, July and August of 2016 (see below for details). All activities will take place at the

Discovery Sports Center, where teachers from BlackRock will hold Visual Art and Creative Drama classes during their afternoon sessions and instructors from the Discovery Sports Center will play a variety of

sports activities in the morning. Play in the morning and create in the afternoon!
