How to bookAll families must enrol at kmc.nsw.gov.au/vacationcarePlaces are prioritised as follows:

Category 1Families with both parents/guardians working/studying/training

In this category, priority will be given to single working parents

Category 2Families with parents/guardians who are not working/studying/training

Select the dates you wish to book and confirm. An email confirmation will be sent to you.

Ku-ring-gai Council’s

Vacation Care Program offers children aged 5 to 14

years arts, crafts, games, sports and excursions during the NSW school holidays. Activities take

place in safe, secure and caring environments with

qualified staff.

PaymentA deposit paid in advance is required to confirm your booking.

You will receive an invoice with the required deposit amount within one week of booking. The deposit will be automatically charged using the payment details on your account and the amount will depend on whether you are claiming the Child Care Subsidy or not. The remaining balance will be invoiced and charged within one week of the close of the Vacation Care program.

Places are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment.

KIDS CLUB St Ives Kids Club and West Pymble Kids Clubs are suitable for children aged 5 - 12 years

STANDARD HOURS: 7.30am - 6pm

DAILY FEE: $56 per child. Excursion/workshop costs are extra

Facilities: One large room with air conditioning, new kitchen, fully fenced oval, basketball courts, play equipment and outdoor area.

St Ives Kids Club Corpus Christi Catholic School 17 Link Road, St Ives

Facilities: Large hall,wet weather areas, play equipment, picnic tables, eco-garden, basketball courts and oval.

GETAWAYKids Getaway activities are suitable for children aged 8 - 14 years.

Parent handbook The parent handbook is clear, easy to follow and provides detailed information about our programs, policies and procedures. Visit our website kmc.nsw.gov.au/vacationcare to download a copy.

All children are welcome to participate in this program. However if your child has additional needs, please contact the Vacation Care Coordinator before enrolling your child on 9424 0903.

All our centres are 100% nut-freeWe have a no-nuts policy at all our Vacation Care centres. Please do not pack any nut-based snacks or lunches for your child. For more information or any queries ask our staff or refer to the parent handbook at kmc.nsw.gov.au/vacationcare

Allergy adviceOur parent handbook outlines our procedures in dealing with known allergies. When enrolling your child please notify us of any known allergies, medication needs or asthma management plans.

What to bring• A drink in a screw top refillable container

and sunscreen

• Healthy snacks, meals and drinks to last the day. Food is NOT provided unless otherwise stated.

• Sun-safe clothing ie. a brimmed hat and sleeved clothing, plus enclosed shoes

• A spare change of clothes

Arrivals/departures• Parents must sign their child in and out

each day. Children will only be allowed to leave with nominated carers.

• Children must be at the centre before the scheduled departure time on excursion days.

• Parents collecting their child after 6pm will be charged a late fee of $1 per minute per child. If the child has not been collected by 6.15pm an additional fee of $2 per minute per child will be charged until the child is collected.

Refunds/cancellations• Programs, excursions and workshops may

be changed due to adverse weather or unforeseen circumstances. Parents will be advised of any changes.

• Please note that NO refunds or credits apply for non-attendance at centres, excursions and workshops.

We’ll go on an easy bush walk, discover fascinating creatures and try some fun Aboriginal activities - ochre face painting, making bush soap, finding bush tucker and bush medicine and learning to throw a boomerang.
