Echidnas are one of only two known monotremes in the world - the other is the platypus. Monotremes are mammals, but instead of giving birth to live young, they lay eggs. Baby echidnas are called puggles, and live for an average of 10 years in the wild, but can survive until the age of 40.

One of Australia’s best-loved entertainers and authors takes a look at the Aussie obsession with sports and pop culture in his new book ‘Full Bore’. His inimitable take on our sport-obsessed nation, Aussie pop culture and artefacts and memorabilia will make you cringe with recognition and laugh with affection. William’s trademark humour and anecdotes are a true delight.

William has won and been nominated for several acting and writing awards,

and is best known for his acting roles in ‘SeaChange’, ‘Blue Heelers’, ‘My Brother Jack’, ‘Look Both Ways’ and ‘Unfinished Business’. He has authored a number of books including ‘A Man’s Got to Have a Hobby’.

THE CHINESE WRITTEN WORD ExHIBITION

The Chinese Written Word exhibition is a celebration of the role Chinese Culture has played in Bendigo’s history. On display is a selection of items showcasing the Chinese written word through various forms, uses and media. Items are on loan from the Golden Dragon Museum and Bendigo Regional Archive Centre.
