We have a lot of great classes coming up this summer. You can beat the heat and hang out in our air-conditioned classrooms or you can get out and soak up the sun in some of our outdoor classes. There are lots of classes from which to choose.

• Dinner and a Movie: This summer’s dinner and a movie class will be “The Sound of Music.” We will enjoy an Austrian dinner, a talk by Lisa Icenogle, and watch the film. We may even sing a few of our favorite songs from the film.

• Never Too Old to Ride: A re-learn to ride bicycle clinic and more! Bicycle riding is a fun, low impact form of exercise that you can do with your family at any age. You do not need a bicycle to take this class. We will provide bike helmets and comfort bikes for you to try out. Our instructors will talk about how to choose the right bicycle, re-learn the basics of riding, and then take the class on two slow-paced rides on mostly flat terrain so you can practice your skills.

• Wyoming Game and Fish Partnership: This summer we have partnered with Wyoming Game and Fish to bring you three interesting one-day classes: ◊ Conserving Wildlife in a Boom and Bust State: This

class will focus on the measures the oil and gas industry and Game and Fish are taking to protect the habitat of our wildlife.

◊ Living with Lions, and Wolves, and Bears – Oh My!: If you enjoy Wyoming’s wildlife, here’s a chance to learn about the behavior and ecology of bears, lions, and wolves.

◊ Oh Nyet! The Russian Olives are Coming!: Russian Olive trees were once considered valuable in Wyoming to provide habitat for wildlife. Now they are on the noxious weed list and are being removed. Learn why and visit a removal site to see how it’s working.

• Home Grown Adventure III: New trip, focusing on interesting sites in Natrona County.

READ! READ! READ!We have had several instances lately in which people

did not read their reminder postcards or letters and showed up in the wrong place, on the wrong day, or at the wrong time for a class or an event. Due to staff limitations we are not able to call you to notify you of a room change or date change unless it is a last minute change that happens after reminders have gone out. Therefore…Read Your Postcards

We send you a reminder postcard for every class you take (unless your class meets in the first week right after registration). It is important that you read the reminder postcard. It tells you the dates, time, and location of your class. Sometimes there are room changes for classes. If there is a change it will be highlighted on your postcard.Read Your Letters

If you have purchased tickets for any OLLI events, you will receive them and a letter with information about the event time, date, and location. We cannot refund your money for the event if you missed it because you did not read the letter that came with your ticket and showed up on the wrong day or in the wrong place.

Update Your Email AddressWhenever possible we like to send out the newsletter

electronically to save on mailing costs or pass along items of interest. We have had a lot of email addresses come back as “undeliverable.” Please contact Karen Arnold and update your email address with her. The easiest way to do this is to email her: [email protected].
