SJXXIII Spring Concert 2017
Hello Parents and Guardians! Your child/children have been practicing very hard for our upcoming annual Spring
Concert at Saint John XXIII! We are all VERY excited to perform for you! Date and Time: Friday May 5, 2017, 6pm Location: Saint John XXIII Gymnasium What time should students arrive? The doors to their homeroom classroom open at 5:30pm. Student Attendance: Attendance from each student is mandatory. Because music class is a behavior and participation grade, it is very important that they are present the night of the concert. Missing the concert without an approved excuse will result in a zero for 10% of the total grade for the quarter. If you have any major conflicts, please email me and we can discuss further. Who Can Come? Invite anyone who would like to see your child perform! Doors to gym open at 5:30pm. Concert Theme: “Music from Animated Movies”- You will hear everything from Mickey Mouse to Mulan! Get ready for a great show of some of Animated films’ best music!
Dress Code:
o Kindergarten, 1st grade: § plain colored shirt (any color of the rainbow) § jean pants /khaki pants/plain colored pants (any color of the
rainbow)—NO LEGGINGS worn as pants § girls may wear colorful dresses/skirts if they wish! straps must be at
least 3 inches wide (NO spaghetti straps or strapless) and length should be to the knee.
§ Shoes must have a heel strap.
o 2nd grade: § Hawaiian style clothing § girls may wear colorful dresses/skirts if they wish! straps must be at
least 3 inches wide- NO spaghetti straps or strapless- and length should be to the knee.
§ Sandals may be worn only if they have a heel strap-- NO FLIP FLOPS § Shorts may only be worn if they are “Bermuda” length See example
below. -- NO SHORT SHORTS
o 3rd grade: § Shirts should be a shade of green, blue, or brown. § Jean, black or khaki pants—NO LEGGINGS. § No messages written on t-shirts allowed.
o 4th grade: § Shirts should be a shade of green. § Jean, black, or khaki pants—NO LEGGINGS. § No messages written on t-shirts allowed.
o 5th grade: § Red or black shirt § Jean, black, or khaki pants—NO LEGGINGS. § No messages written on t-shirts allowed.
