CHURCH COUNCIL meets at 4 o’clock this afternoon in the Fellowship Hall. All council members should be present at this meeting.

FAMILY LIFE CENTER CLOSED Mon., Oct. 28th — Fri., Nov. 1st, for Fall Festival preparation and clean-up.

KIDSPRING will not meet this Wed., Oct. 30th, due to the Fall Festival set-up.

HOME PRAYER GROUP will not meet on Thurs., Oct. 31st, but will resume next Thurs., Nov. 7th, at 11 a.m. at the Parsonage.

FALL FESTIVAL begins at 5:30 p.m., Thurs., Oct. 31st in the Family Life Center with Trunk ‘n Treat to follow at 7:30 p.m. in the parking lot. Thank you to everyone who has volunteered in any way to make this year’s Fall Festival a success!

CHARGE CONFERENCE is Wed., Nov. 6th, at 6 p.m. at the Vine Grove United Methodist Church in Evensville. Everyone is welcome to attend. JOIN US FOR A NEW STUDY FROM THE BOOK OF ISAIAH titled “It Is HIStory!” by Alistair Begg. This 5-week study will prepare our hearts to celebrate Christ’s coming by examining the fulfillment of all that Isaiah prophesied in the person of Jesus, the light that overcomes darkness, sinless substitute, risen Savior, and reigning King. but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. 3 For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in

accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. 4 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. 6 We have different gifts, according to the grace

given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
