Brain Training

Children were having a fun and enjoy the animals theme activities for the past two months. They have been exploring and get to identify varieties of

animals. In the month of August they learnt and explore on farm animals and pets. On the month of September we focused and learnt about wild animals

and sea creatures. Oh boy they really had a good time learning about this animal! Here are some of the activities we have done together.

Language & literacy

The toddlers discovered the first letters of each animals. Almost most of the children were able to identify the first letter of the animals . Through this activity the toddlers learn to identify the alphabets and the sounds of the

letters.

Language & literacy

We also had a small tour to the Spring Brainy Kidz @ PP Zoo. We get to see many animals in the zoo such as bear, giraffe, monkey, dog, crocodile and many

more. We pretend to feed all this animals and remind the children to be gentle to the animals.

Life is colorful because of exploration. With a magnifying glass, we are exploring

the beauty of nature from different perspectives. In September, our Chinese

theme was "Nature ‘. Through the theme we met: flowers, grass, trees, wind, rain,

water, fire, day ,night, month and star. Whether it's outdoor or indoor scientific

discoveries or water exploration, it was so much fun! Let's sing a song and say

Numeracy

In terms of Numeracy, we learn to count and identify the numbers 1 to 5. We had lots of fun by counting the fish crackers and munching it a well. The

toddlers were able to rote count the fish crackers according to the number.

We also did sorting fishes according to the colours. The toddlers enjoyed the sorting activity. Through this activity the toddlers were able to identify the colour green and yellow and learnt to sort the fishes accordingly, well done

Motor Skill Development

Children are reaching most of the motor skills milestones now! They were able to jump, run, kick and so on. They were able to do the animals movements.

Motor Skill Development

Bubble wrap walking was a great motor skills activity. The children went hopping , jumping, running across their runway as fast as they could.. They also crawl on it and popping it with their hands. The toddlers had so much fun with

the bubble wraps.

Discovery of the world

Discovery of the world is the toddlers most favourite activity. They explore and get curious during this activity. This month we did tuna sandwich. They discovered the tuna comes from one of the fish which has been processed. They also discovered that the tuna is a sea creature. The toddlers get to mash the tuna and mixed with some vegetable for a better tasting tuna sandwich. They had a great time making the sandwich and tasting it too!

The toddlers did a jelly fish craft using a paper cup and some strands of crepe papers. They painted the paper cup and paste the strands of crepe papers to

the cups

They also did paper plate snail craft. The children pasted the coloured foam papers that had been cut out on the paper plate and pasted the googly eyes

for the snail craft.

The story of the rainbow fish inspired the toddlers in many ways. They were so curious about the rainbow scales on the fish. The toddlers were so careful and

diligently pasted the colourful glitters on the cut out of the fish.

The mid autumn festival is around the corner! The children made some colourful lantern and decorated it around the school. Their lanterns makes

the moon cake festival beautiful and cheerful to celebrate.

The K1 and K2 children went to Kindsville Gallery on 7th September 2018. This trip is inconjunction with Kindness on Board project where the children learned to becourteous and kind to the transport staffs and to have a safe trip in buses and MRTtrains.

Mid-Autumn Festival

Mid autumn celebration was celebrated on 21st September 2018 Friday.

Children had a great time with the story telling session on the day. They also did a snow skin moon cakes to give it to the parents. However we would like to thank the parents who put on

their hands and made the lanterns with the recycled materials. Thank you!
