Welcome!

Thank you for taking the time to consider a Life Bible Study here at Houston’s First Baptist Church in Cypress. We are excited about what God is doing in the life of our church and our prayer is that you would join us! A great way for you to “plug in” is by joining a Life Bible Study class.

Life Bible Study is at the core of our DNA here at Houston’s First. It is here that we, as a church, organize to accomplish all that God has for us. It is through Life Bible Study that we GATHER together, GROW in faith and GIVE ourselves away in ministry. In Life Bible Study we find community, accountability, discipleship, and opportunities to serve. God’s Word is both His story and His instruction manual for our lives all in one. God instructs us to study the Bible for life; it is a lifelong endeavor that lasts from birth until we are called home to Heaven. Life Bible Study is indeed a Bible study for life!

It is my heartfelt desire that everyone becomes involved in a smaller group and develops the intimate, personal relationships that only come from being with a small group and participating week after week.

Take your time and feel free to try several of our Life Bible Studies. Pray and ask God’s direction as you seek His guidance in joining a group. If you have any questions along the way, please feel free to ask. I will do all that I can to help you find your place.

Life Bible Study is the church organized and dedicated to Gathering the unchurched and those who haven’t discovered Christ while Growing believers through life changing Bible Study to become Great Commission Christians, reflecting His love through Giving ministry to others.

Milestones is a framework for adult discipleship that extends beyond Life Bible Studies to equip people in a particular stage of life, crisis, or in general discipleship. This is accomplished through semester-long courses, one-time classes, and special events.
