9:00am-12:00pm Registration & Move In Location: Café Court, Student Center

Register for Orientation, pick up your computer, get your student ID, fill out any remaining paperwork and receive directions to your room. After you finish registering you will be able to check into your residence hall. Orientation Leaders and Residential Life staff will be on hand to assist you and answer any questions.

11:30am-1:45pm Lunch Location: Dining Hall, Alumni Hall Remember to bring your ID; you’ll need it for every meal. 2:00pm-2:30pm Welcome Address Location: Greenhoe Theater, Fine Arts Building

Dr. Peter Eden, President; Kevin Mayne, Vice President for Enrollment Management; Gail Gibson Sheffield, Vice President for Academic Affairs; and Michael Luciani, Vice President for Student Affairs will welcome you to Landmark College.

2:30pm-4:00pm Orientation Group Activities and Tour

Meet members of your Orientation group as you begin to build a community based on trust, support and cooperation.

4:00pm-6:00pm Math Placement Testing Location: Robert E. Lewis Family Auditorium, (Students who received a notice in their packet must take the placement test) Language Intensive Curriculum (LIC) Wilson Screening Location: Coffeehouse, Stone Hall 018

(Students who are enrolled in the LIC program must participate in Wilson screening) 5:00pm-7:00pm President’s Welcome Dinner Location: Dining Hall, Alumni Hall

Join members of the Landmark faculty, staff and administration for your first dinner at Landmark. Remember to bring your ID.

Location: Conference Room, Second Floor, East Academic Building Do you have questions regarding academics? Your class schedule? Who your advisor is? Stop by the Academic Help Room and a member of Academic Affairs will be happy to assist you. The Academic Help Room will be closed from 11:15am -12:00pm

Learn the ins and outs of your laptop as well as the software platforms that Landmark

uses including email, Canvas, moodle, SIS and Sharknet. Bring your laptop with you to

this session.

Diversity- From a Social Science, Education, Humanities, Communications Perspective

Locations: (See Below)

In the time slots below when you are not attending a Technology Session, you should

choose one of the mini lectures on Diversity being held by our faculty. Each mini-

lecture is a 30 minute experience with 15 minutes for questions/discussion

4:15pm-5:15pm Study Abroad Wellness Presentation

Location: Room 111, MacFarlane Center Hear about the Caribbean Study abroad program from this year’s participants. They will also discuss the wellness themes that they personally explored during their time abroad including sleep, diet and nutrition, mind-body connection, and going tech free.

5:00pm-7:00pm Dinner

Locations: Click Family Sports Center/Strauch Family Student Center Take a break and recharge. Play pickup basketball or dodgeball in the Clock Center, Apples to Apples in the Stone Hall Coffeehouse, explore the campus or just relax and hang out with new friends.

2:45pm-4:00pm Intro to Student Activities and Clubs at Landmark

Location: O’Brien Auditorium, East Academic Building Interested in joining a club or organization? Want to know how to get involved in the Campus Activities Board? Looking to see what there is to do on the weekends? Join Emily North, Director of Student Activities, for a discussion about how you can make the most of your Landmark experience.

4:00pm-6:00pm Shuttles to Keene & Brattleboro Location: Shuttles will depart from the back of Alumni Hall.

Forget something at home? Need some snacks for your room? The shuttle will run two trips to Keene, NH shopping areas for those last minute items. There will also be a shuttle to Brattleboro to explore the downtown area.

Everyone has a role to play in creating a safe and healthy campus community. This session will give you the skills and knowledge to step up and intervene in difficult situations.

2:30pm-5:30pm Orientation Group Check In/Free Time Locations: This is an opportunity to ask questions and touch base with your orientation leader. 2:30pm-3:15pm Athletics, Fitness and Recreation Information Session

Location: Click Center Interested in participating in intramurals? Climbing the rock wall? Playing on an athletic team? Going on an outdoor adventure? Meet the Athletics, Fitness and Recreation Staff, along with our coaches.

3:15pm-4:30pm Athletics, Fitness and Recreation Facilities Tour Location: Click Center

Tour the different workout and exercise spaces on campus and learn what each has to offer and how you can access them.

3:00pm-4:00pm Classroom Tour Location: Meet on the Quad

Not sure where your classes are located? Need to figure out where you need to be Monday morning? Meet on the Quad and the Orientation Leaders will help you find your way.

3:00pm-5:00pm Free Time

Relax and recharge. The bookstore, Fireside Café, and Click Center will all be open. Or simply relax in your residence hall. If you haven’t purchased your books this is a great opportunity to do that. Make sure that you’ve purchased your packet for your FY class from the Bookstore.

Getting involved on campus is easy to do and we have something for everyone! Learn

about student clubs, off campus trips, on campus events and more! Did you know that

we run a trip to New York City every spring? Or that we have a laser tag trip and a paint

ball trip this semester? Learn how to use the college app and website to find out what's

happening every day. Emily North, Director of Student Activities will connect you to all

we offer.

Unsure where your classes are? Where to find a campus office? Meet the OL’s in the

lobby of the Student Center and they will walk you through your schedule.
