I am pleased to provide you with our most current Oklahoma Chapter ACP Newsletter. I believe you will /ind reading this informative and enjoyable. Since I last wrote, your chapter leaders have been busy working both locally and nationally on your behalf and on behalf of our future internists. In February, our Chapter Council met by conference call to discuss Chapter issues. The /inancial report was provided by Michael Weisz, MD, MACP; overall, the /inances of the Chapter are in good shape. We heard several committee reports including efforts of the Early Career Physician Committee led by Dr. Andria Medina and the Legislative Committee led by Dr. Matlock Jeffries. We also discussed updates from the Oklahoma City and Tulsa campuses. Dr. Rhett Jackson is this year’s program chair for our annual state meeting, which will take place in Oklahoma City on October 20 th through 21 st . This year’s meeting promises to be educationally sound. I hope you will join your colleagues and attend. Furthermore, Dr. Jack Ende, President-Elect of the ACP, will be one of our featured speakers. We also discussed our membership, and I am pleased to inform you that our membership numbers continue to grow. We have grown 4.9% largely due to resident membership, but we have had a modest increase in full members as well. Nationally, the ACP continues to generate and publish a number of important public policy
