Young Champions on Ice is a United States Figure Skating Bridge Program that introduces and advances skaters to the different disciplines of Figure Skating. Skaters will continue to take their Learn to Skate Basic Skills Classes through Level 6. Skaters will complete their Freestyle levels 1-6 tests by taking the spins, jumps and edge classes offered. Skaters will be evaluated by appointment by the Learn to Skate Director to receive their completed Freestyle level certificates and FS Badges. When the skater has mastered the Pre-Preliminary Moves in the Field (MIF) Test and the Free Skate (FS) Test, the skater may take the test by becoming a member of the Rocky Mountain Figure Skating Club. The skater will then perorm the skills in front of nationally appointed USFS judges who mark the test as Pass or Retry. The Pre-Preliminary Test is the first of eight levels of national tests. The last test is the Gold Test in MIF and Free Skating.
