Jurisdictions Below is a list of Indian Consulates and the states which are in their jurisdiction. Your jurisdiction is determined by what US State has issued your Driver’s License, not where you currently reside. You may not use a Driver’s License that has a PO Box listed on it. The India Visa application asks several questions specific to your trip. We have listed the information here. Following this page is a step by step guide with screenshots of the online visa application.

1. Enter UNITED STATES OF AMERICA as country where you are applying in.

2. Enter the Indian Mission based on your JURISDICTION

3. Enter your CURRENT NATIONALITY

4. Enter Date of Birth in DAY/MONTH/YEAR format.

5. Leave EMAIL field blank.

6. Expected date of arrival 09/03/2015 (DAY/MONTH/YEAR FORMAT).

7. All applicants should apply for a TOURIST VISA

8. Enter the access code as it appears on screen.

1. Name must match name in your passport exactly. Given Names should include First and Middle names if they both appear in your Passport.

2. US Citizens and residents do not have a National ID Number, please enter NA here.

3. Visible identification marks might include scars, tattoos, birthmarks. NONE is an acceptable answer.

3. If you do not wish to place your religion, select OTHERS and enter NONE on the second line.

4. Place of Issue is listed as “Issuing Authority” on your Passport’s face/information page. Most passports now list, US DEPARTMENT OF STATE

1. The Present Address must match your Proof of Address. It cannot be a PO Box.

2. Jurisdiction is determined by the Present Address. Please ensure your Present and Permanent Address match.

3. For Parents’ Place of Birth, please list City and State. If either of your parents were born in a country bordering India, or in the Middle East, you may be required to provide additional documents. Please contact Semester at Sea if this applies to you.

4. If married, provide spousal information here. 5. If you answer “Yes” to this question, your grandparents were Pakistani Nationals; you will need to provide additional documents. Please notify Semester at Sea if this applies to you.

6. If your present occupation is Housewife, Student, or Minor, you will be asked to list employer information for a spouse or parent.
