    Dear Friend:

    The Spring 2014 Yakima Valley Senior Expois set for Thursday

    April 24, 2014 and as an advertiser in the Senior Times or previous

    Expo participantwe want to give you rst choice of your booths

    location. As you probably know,we almost sold out last yearand

    expect to ll up again this year.

    This is the senior trade show that delivers the traic! Our

    commitment to marketing and advertising is what makes us dierent

    and what delivers the crowds of seniorslooking at your product or

    service. We have a strong ad budgetagain this year, and will,

    once again, supplement our marketing program with an extended radio

    campaign.

    The Senior Expo will feature products and services from up to 50

    area businessesand social service agencies in a trade show format.

    We have a number of pre-event marketing plans set which will ll the

    Expo with active, interested senior buyers... anxious to talk with

    you on a face-to-facebasis.

    We will be running our popular Treasure Hunt promotion -- getting

    each of our senior buyers who attend the Expo to visit every booth

    in the show.

    Central Washington Senior TimesFront page stories promoting the Senior Expo will be featured in the February,

    March, and April issues of the Senior Times. Each issues coverage will be

    progressively more detailed and generate more and more interest among the SeniorTimes 15,000-plus readers.The April issue (delivered just days before the Expo) will contain a special section

    devoted entirely to the Senior Expo. Preliminary plans for the special sectioninclude a oorplan demonstrating the depth and breadth of the products, servicesand companies on display and a full-length feature article highlighting the variousexhibitors and aspects of the Expo.

    Each Senior Times issue will contain various ads worth several thousand dollarsemphasizing, re-emphasizing and nally driving home the facts of the Expo. Atleast one ad will also contain a clip-out admission ticket good for free admission ofthe bearer and guest(s).

    Admission TicketsFive thousand admission tickets will be printed and distributed in a variety

    of ways. These 5,000 tickets are in addition to the tickets printed in the SeniorTimes. These tickets will be made available to exhibitors as soon as the exhibitorcommits to participate in the Expo. Within reason, exhibitors will be given as manyadmission tickets as they can distribute. Many exhibitors will insert the tickets inbilling statements, newsletters, etc.

    Admission tickets will also be made available to seniors through seniororganizations, groups, retirement homes, senior apartments and mobile homecourts, etc. Although no admission will be charged at the door, these tickets endearthe senior to the exhibitor that provided the ticket.

    d. RIGHTS OF MANAGEMENT IN EVENT EXHIBITION IS NOT HELD-Management shall not be liable for any damages or expense incurredby Exhibitors in the event the show is delayed, interrupted or not held asscheduled; and if for any reason the Show is not held, Management mayretain so much of the amount paid by Exhibitors as is necessary to defrayexpenses already incurred by the Management. e. TERMS AND CONDITIONS-This Contract contains all the terms and

    conditions agreed on by the parties hereto, and no other agreements, oral orotherwise regarding the subject matter of this contract, shall be deemed toexist or to bind any of the parties hereto. f. SECURITY FOR RENTAL-Failure on the part of the Exhibitor to paythe rental as specied under the contract shall entitle Management to seizeall merchandise, materials, and exhibits displayed by the Exhibitor at thewithin described show and to retain the same as security for any unpaidrental amount owing hereunder. Upon the expiration of seven days after suchseizure, Management shall have the right to dispose of same without noticeto the Exhibitor in such manner as Management, in its absolute discretion,deems appropriate, whether by public or private sale in the mannerdetermined solely at Managements discretion, and without any obligation on

    the part of Management to effect any manner of publication respecting thedate or any details or information as to when or how such sale is to be carriedout. g. AMENDMENTS-Exhibitor agrees to abide by decisions of theManagement concerning all matters pertaining to the administration andsuccess of the show which are not specically stated. h. ATTORNEY FEES-In the event suit or action is brought by any partyunder this agreement to enforce any of its terms, it is agreed that the prevailingparty shall be entitled to a reasonable attorney fee to be xed by the trial andappellate courts. Venue shall be Yakima County.3.SECURITY-Neither the Management, facility management nor ourinsurance company are nancially liable for the losses or mysterious

    disappearance of any kind. We recommend all exhibitors contact theirinsurance agents to conrm proper coverage of exhibit materials. (Pleaseread carefully the coverage provided by decorators and shipping companiesto determine if additional coverage is necessary.) Any additional security mustbe arranged by the Exhibitor at their own expense, directly from the facility.

    1. USE OF SPACEa. LIABILITY-The Exhibitor is entirely responsible for the space leased byhim and shall not injure, mar or deface the premises and the Exhibitor shallnot drive, nor permit to be driven any nails, hooks, tacks or screws in any partof the building. Furthermore, Exhibitor shall not afx to the walls or windowsof building any advertisement, signs, etc. or use Scotch tape, masking tape orany other adhesive type materials on painted surfaces. The Exhibitor agrees

    to reimburse the facility, and/or decorator, for any loss or damage to thepremises or equipment occuring in the space leased to the Exhibitor. Showmanagement and their sponsors shall not be liable for failure to perform itsobligations under this contract as a result of strikes, riots, acts of God, or anyother causes beyond its control. b. AISLES-The aisles, passageways and overhead spaces remain strictlyunder the control of the Management, and no signs, decorations, banners,advertising matter or special exhibits will be permitted in them except byspecial written permission of the Management. All exhibits and their personnelmust remain within the connes of their own spaces and no Exhibitor will bepermitted to erect signs or display products in such a manner as to obstructthe view, occasion injury or disadvantageously affect the display of other

    Exhibitors. No interference with the light or space of another Exhibitor will bepermitted. c. SPACE-The space contracted for is to be used solely for Exhibitorwhose name appears on the Contract, and it is agreed that Exhibitor willnot sublet or assign any portion of same without the written consent of theManagement. In the event Exhibitor fails to occupy or use their space or tohave their exhibit completed and in place by the opening of the show, theyshall forfeit their right to the space, all prepaid rents, and upon demand payany rental balance owing to Management. d. ALL DEMONSTRATIONS or promotional activities must be connedwithin the limits of the purchased space. Noise resulting therefrom must notinterfere with the other exhibitors.

    e. RESTRICTIONS-The Management reserves the right to restrict orremove exhibits, without refund, that may have been falsely entered, or maybe deemed by the Management unsuitable or objectionable. This restrictionapplies to noise, P.A. systems, persons, animals, birds, things, conduct,printed matter, or anything of a character that may be objectionable to the
