OBJECTIVES
Spree, South Africa’s leading online shopping platform synonymous with making beautiful local designs accessible to South Africans, teamed up with one of SA’s most loved and admired fashion designers, Gert-Johan Coetzee, to showcase his Spring / Summer 2015 Collection. Spree and Gert-Johan selected 18 pieces from the brand new collection which was available to buy online from Spree, as soon as they were revealed at his show at Fashion Week on 18 March from 21h30.
• Generate excitement pre and post SA Fashion Week around the Spree brand by raising its profile in the fashion, tech and online media channels
• Highlight that Spree supports SA fashion designers
• Demonstrate that Spree is the market innovator when it comes to real time shopping hot off the runway by showcasing Spree’s tech ability
Spree.co.za, part of Naspers’ ecommerce division, is South Africa’s first online shop to offer a “magazine-styled shopping experience.” Items on Spree include ladies and men’s apparel, décor and gifts, kids and babies clothes, and beauty products, which have all been carefully selected by a team of experts from local designers and suppliers and international brands.

RESULTS
PDC implemented a blogger relations activation that resulted in a select group of SA’s leading fashion blogger tweeting live at the event to their community of followers for them to ‘shop the ramp’ from the comfort of their homes, whilst the SA Fashion Week show was underway – reaching a combined and engaged (shopping) audience of 96 859 people.
PDC secured a full page fashion feature in City Press newspaper amongst many others pieces of on-line editorial.
