MISSION STATEMENT

The Mission of the Sprayberry High School Counseling program is to assist students in overcoming barriers that impede learning through a focus on academic, personal/social and career development so they are successful in school and are prepared to become responsible members of society.

23 Credits for Graduation Pass one End of Course Test (EOCT) in each of the four content areas OR pass the corresponding subject test of the

Georgia High School Graduation Test (GHSGT). The EOCT counts 15% of the course grade. Students must also pass the Georgia High School Writing Test (GHSWT).

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS ARE FOR GEORGIA SCHOOLS

• Graduation requirements are set forth by Georgia’s Board of Regents which establishes the admissions requirements for Georgia’s colleges and universities.

• Students should check the admissions requirements of the particular college they wish to attend

• For example, the University of South Carolina requires a Fine Art credit

DUAL ENROLLMENT• Allows students to take college courses in lieu of high

school courses. The courses provide dual credit—fulfilling graduation requirements as well as credits toward a college degree.

October 29th from 6:30 until 8:40 at the North Metro Campus of Chat Tech College

Presenting colleges will include: KSU, Georgia Highlands, Southern PolyTechnic, Chat Tech

Please keep in mind that some schools, like Kennesaw State University, require Dual Enrollment students to have taken the SAT/ACT. KSU’s application deadline is January 15th,

so be sure to sign up the SAT/ACT before the January deadline.

COLLEGE FAIRS100 Black Men of Atlanta 2013 College Fair is Saturday, October 5th, from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) – Building C-4 (off of Northside Drive in Atlanta).

Turner Chapel AME Education Ministry College Fair is Sat. Oct. 26, 2012 from Noon-3 pm, at the Chapel in Marietta

East Cobb Area High Schools will host a spring semester College Fair at Wheeler High School on March 18, 2014.
