Quite simply, there is no better place to stage a schools netball festival in the UK than Butlins. The resorts in Minehead and Skegness are packed with fantastic facilities, have great evening entertainment programmes and offer quality accommodation and dining options.

During your stay, you will be able to enjoy the resort’s huge variety of leisure and entertainment facilities. There’s the sub-tropical Splash Waterworld with flumes, wave machines and daredevil rides, exciting rides at the Funfair and much more.

Alternatively, you may choose simply to relax and enjoy your time away sitting out in the sunshine (we hope)!

When the sun goes down a buzz of excitement goes through the resorts. Some of the UK’s most talented performers appear in the premier entertainment venues. With names and faces you will recognise from TV, tribute acts and live bands too, you will enjoy great entertainment every night!

Every team will play Tournament matches on 2 days. On Day Two of the Festival teams will participate in the Pool matches, which will then determine the teams’ participation in either the International Cup or Shield Competition on Day Four, The Play-Offs and Finals for both the International Cup and Shield Competition in each age group will then be played on Day Four of the Festival.

Coaching Clinics & Masterclasses

The clinics and masterclasses are delivered in partnership with Paul Turner Sport. Paul, a former Welsh International, has enjoyed great success both as a player and coach in the English Premiership and Celtic League over the past 20 seasons.

As a result of his time at the top level of the game, and the great respect in which he is held, Paul will be supported by an outstanding coaching team of highly experienced coaches and players at the Festival. International players who have led masterclasses in previous years include Jamie Roberts, Hugo Southwell, Luke Charteris, Andy Gomarsall, Keith Wood, Jason Leonard, Scott Quinnell and Zinzan Brooke.

Paul and his coaching team will be delivering up-to-date skills sessions, both ‘Core’ and ‘Technical’, as well as introducing ‘Games for Understanding’, that enable young players to understand the different kinds of situations they find themselves in on the rugby field and then how to ’read’ or ‘react’ to those situations for the benefit of their team. The coaching team will focus on ‘GfU’ immediately after each skills session, so the players learn the rugby knowledge of ‘Where’ ‘When’ and ‘Why’ on the rugby field.

Take this unique opportunity to attend the world’s premier Grand Slam tennis championships. You and your students can be there, soaking up the atmosphere and watching the action on the outside courts or even on No.1, No.2 or No.3 Courts, if you choose to book tickets for these show courts.

Our two and three day tours take place throughout The Championships, so that as well as watching the action courtside, you and your students can also join the crowds on ‘Henman Hill’ or ‘Murray Mount’, as it is increasingly known, and watch play on Centre Court on the huge TV screen.

WimbledonThe 2016 Championships

Two Day Tour Itinerary Day OneYou will be collected from your school or college early in the morning and then taken to Wimbledon. We plan to arrive during the late morning, in good time to see play commence.

Play normally commences at around 1pm or 2pm on No.1 Court, and generally a little earlier on No.2 and No.3 Courts and the outside courts. The Championships’ scheduling and how the weather has been during the previous days will determine exactly which matches are played on each court, however, whatever matches you see, you are sure to be amazed at the incredible quality and speed of the tennis!

At the close of play, which can be at any time between 6.30pm and 8.30pm, dependent on the number and length of the matches to be played, we will transfer you to your overnight accommodation. We recommend that you have an early dinner at Wimbledon, prior to departing for your hotel.

Day TwoThis morning, after breakfast, we will head in to central London. We will start the day with our included sightseeing tour, that will take in many of the city’s world renowned sights, including the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and the Tower of London.

The remainder of the morning and early afternoon are then free for you to do as you please; we will send you our London ‘Visits and Attractions’ Guide, which offers suggestions of activities for you to consider. These include sports stadia tours, museum visits and attractions such as the London Eye.

We will head for home in the afternoon and should arrive back at your school or college during the evening.

Two Day Tours These tours offer a great experience for all students, not just tennis fans, providing them with the opportunity to attend one of the world’s great sporting events!

Our two-day tour prices shown opposite range from £125 per student for tours with Ground Pass Admission tickets, to up to £195 per student for tours with No.1 court tickets. Naturally, the tour price you pay will reflect the quality of the matches scheduled for your chosen date and court. Demand for tour dates in the first week of the Championships is always very high, with many of our student groups experiencing some fantastic tennis matches over the years - with some fortunate enough to have seen Britain’s very own Andy Murray in action!

Three Day ToursWe also offer Three Day Tours to the Championships. For groups of minimum 40 students, we offer the opportunity for you to add an extra day to the beginning of your tour and enjoy a two night stay at your hotel. Departing a day earlier than the Two-day tours described, you will travel to London on Day One, attend Wimbledon on Day Two and then have the best part of Day Three to enjoy London at your leisure.

Your Wimbledon TicketsSport Experiences has been officially appointed by the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) for the sale of Wimbledon Championships tickets. These tours are therefore Officially Approved Wimbledon Packages.

All tickets provide Ground Pass admission to The Wimbledon Championships, which allows access to all the outside courts, the retail and food outlets and Henman Hill. No.1, No.2 and No.3 Court tickets also include a reserved seat for the entire day on the specified court.

The Formula 1™ British Grand PrixThe incident-packed 2015 British Grand Prix was won by Lewis Hamilton, who claimed back-to-back victories on home soil. The reigning world champion finished ahead of Nico Rosberg as he extended his lead over his Mercedes team-mate in the Drivers World Championship.

The thrilling race was far from straightforward for the home favourite, who had to overcome a poor start and two rain showers, to seal his fifth win from nine races. This victory proved to be crucial for Hamilton, as he held off Rosberg to win The 2015 Drivers World Championship. Lewis will undoubtedly be highly confident as he will return to Silverstone in 2016 as the reigning world champion.

Looking ahead to 2016, the two Mercedes drivers are sure to be battling as closely with one another again. Behind them the competition have fast been improving their cars, and with Ferrari, Williams and Red Bull closing the gap to Mercedes, there can be no doubt that the 2016 Formula One season will be one of the most exciting for many years.

Will we see Lewis Hamilton win again at Silverstone in 2016? Don’t miss the chance for you and your students to be there and get right up close to the action!

Free Teacher PlacesWe provide one free teacher place for every ten students. Free teacher places are based on two sharing a room. The single room supplement is £25.00 per night. Prices for additional teacher places, beyond the free teacher place ratio, are shown in the price chart.
