6th July 2018 Code Club Code Club pupils visited the club's volunteers in their workplace: FutureLearn at the Open University. During our visit we wrote on a wall ,like soſt- ware engineers , when they work collaboravely to solve different problems. We also used X-Ray Goggles and changed the World Cup results on the BBC website. It was really funny! Sports Day KS2 Years 4, 5 and 6 had a great day out at The Hall School's sports ground for our 2018 Sports Day. For the field events, the children took part in vortex throw (mini javelin), long jump and triple jump com- peons. On the track, they parcipated in sprints (60m for Year 4, 80m for Years 5 and 6) and a 400m middle distance race. There was also a tug-of-war compeon. A fun day was had by all, with some fantasc displays of skill, stamina, determinaon and sportsmanship. Well done to all the children for taking part and congratulaons to Bayham Team who were this year's winners! Many thanks to The Hall School for the use of their sports field, organising the coaches and for a delicious lunch! Year 2 Composing Year 2 explored a myth or legend from each country of the United King- dom and created group composions to portray each tale (Loch Ness Monster, Giant’s Causeway, King Arthur’s Knights and Robin Hood). Each group used a variety of instruments to plan, create and perform a piece of music with a ternary structure. The final stage of the composing project involved merging the four sepa- rate composions into one larger piece of music, represenng a musical journey around the United King- dom.

Code Club pupils visited the club's volunteers in their workplace: FutureLearn at the Open University.

During our visit we wrote on a wall ,like soft-ware engineers , when they work collaboratively to solve different problems. We also used X-Ray Goggles and changed the World Cup results on the BBC website. It was really funny!

Sports Day KS2

Years 4, 5 and 6 had a great day out at The Hall

School's sports ground for our 2018 Sports Day. For

Year 3 and 4 'Quad Kids' athletics event

25 children from Years 3 and 4 took part in a Camden athletics competition at Parliament Hill Fields Running track. For the field events, our team competed in vortex (javelin) throw-ing and long jump events. On the track they took part in 50m sprints and a 400m long distance race. Congratulations to all of our team for some great perfor-mances and brilliant effort.

Timothée Botbol came

into school to visit Year 2,

courtesy of the Musi-

cians’ Company. The chil-

dren enjoyed listening to

Timothée play his instru-

ment and they participat-

ed enthusiastically in the interactive workshop. The children

were interested to find out more about the cello and about

Timothée’s life as a professional musician.
