Code Club
Code Club pupils visited the club's volunteers in their workplace: FutureLearn at the Open University.
During our visit we wrote on a wall ,like soft-ware engineers , when they work collaboratively to solve different problems. We also used X-Ray Goggles and changed the World Cup results on the BBC website. It was really funny!
Sports Day KS2
Years 4, 5 and 6 had a great day out at The Hall
School's sports ground for our 2018 Sports Day. For
the field events, the children took part in vortex
throw (mini javelin), long jump and triple jump com-
petitions. On the track, they participated in sprints
(60m for Year 4, 80m for Years 5 and 6) and a 400m
middle distance race. There was also a tug-of-war competition. A fun day
was had by all, with some fantastic displays of skill, stamina, determination and sportsmanship.
Well done to all the children for taking
part and congratulations to Bayham
Team who were this year's winners!
Many thanks to The Hall School for the
use of their sports field, organising the
coaches and for a delicious lunch!
Year 2 Composing
Year 2 explored a myth or legend from each country of the United King-
dom and created group compositions to portray each tale (Loch Ness
Monster, Giant’s Causeway, King Arthur’s Knights and Robin Hood). Each
group used a variety of instruments to plan, create and perform a piece
of music with a ternary structure.
The final stage of the composing project involved merging the four sepa-
rate compositions
into one larger
piece of music,
representing a musical journey around the United King-
dom.
