Investment of pound30 million over three years
We know that many organisations and clubs delivering sport struggle to provide sporting opportunities for disabled people because of a lack of access to specialist equipment
If equipment does exist it is often old poor quality and inhibits the experience of the person using it Where the right equipment is available there is often a high demand resulting in waiting lists and lost opportunity to get people involved in sport
To address this the Get Equipped fund will invest pound1 million of National Lottery funding in the provision of specialist equipment to deliver sport to disabled people Building on the success of the London 2012 Paralympic Games this funding will help make sport a practical choice for many more disabled people inspired by the Games
Not-for-profit organisations can apply for between pound300 and pound10000 of Lottery funding to purchase sports equipment that will help increase the num-ber of disabled young people (aged 14+) and adults regularly playing sport as part of Sport Englandrsquos wider commitment to increasing disability participation

Sport Englandrsquos Iconic Facilities fund draws on the inspirational pull of London 2012 to create local beacons for grassroots sport investing in large-scale multi-sport facilitiesrsquo projects that are regionally significant for at least two sports and can demonstrate long-term financial viability
Looking to work with partners to meet Sport Englandrsquos objectives of Grow Sustain and Excel
Sport England funding Sport England funding Between 2012 and 2017 the Improvement Fund will invest pound45m of National Lottery funding into medium-sized projects that will improve the quality and
grounds of pound9m per annum
It is part of Sport Englandrsquos strategy which is focused on helping more people acquire lifelong sporting habits
It bridges the gap between the Strategic Facilities fund which invests in large-scale multi-sport facilities and Inspired Fund which supports small-scale community projects
projects whether they are new build or the replacement of the existing facilities playing surface They will also consider other types of facility improvement projects which increase participation and best meet the criteria of the fund
To ensure the Improvement Fund can support as many projects as possible a minimum of 25 cash partner-ship funding towards the total project costs is required This can come from either the applicant body andor third parties
We will work with selected partners to develop projects before soliciting grant applications which will then be presented to the Sport England Project Committee for consideration
