On 16 – 17 September 2019, the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre will convene the VCCC Research Conference 2019 – The Next Wave in Cancer Research

2

Following the outstanding success of the

inaugural research conference 2017, this

event offers a wonderful opportunity for

sponsors to be involved in a major Australian

scientific meeting. With keynote speakers

including Professor Doug Hanahan from

Swiss Federal Institute of Technology,

Lausanne, Switzerland; Professor Steve

Baylin from John Hopkins, USA and Professor

Tom Merchant from St Jude Children’s

Research Hospital, USA, plus a fantastic line-

up of local and national experts, the event will

showcase some of the most promising and

exciting cancer research in a wide-ranging

and thought-provoking conference.

The VCCC is a powerful alliance of 10 leading research, academic and clinical institutions working together to accelerate and amplify leading-edge cancer research, knowledge and expertise to benefit the community in Victoria, Australia – and beyond.

The translational capability of this multi-member alliance is what’s makes the VCCC unique in Australia and our aim is to produce an event for multidisciplinary clinicians, researchers and the broader cancer sector that reflects this.

An extensive program of multi-disciplinary sessions is being developed by the expert conference committee, promising to generate meaningful engagement, and sparking ideas and collaborations that will live well beyond the conference itself.

The program will probe key questions, including:

▶ Victoria has some of the best outcomes for cancer patients in the world. Good luck or good management?

▶ Immune-oncology. Where to next?

▶ Precision medicine and new targets. Where are we heading?

▶ Can we empower patients with digital and AI technologies?

Spanning two days at the Sofitel Melbourne on Collins in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, we anticipate that the conference will attract around 500 delegates from across the VCCC alliance membership and the broader cancer sector from Victoria and beyond.

The following pages detail the opportunities for sponsorship and exhibition at the VCCC Research Conference 2019. Conference registration and additional information is available on the conference website.

We hope you will share our excitement about this important event and would be delighted to welcome you as a sponsor and supporter of multi-disciplinary cancer research in Australia.
