TAPMI

The T.A.Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) has

shone as a beacon of management education,

creating managers who add immense value to

organizations, for the past 25 years. Located in

the ‘international university town’ of Manipal,

Karnataka, TAPMI has had a splendid legacy of

'nurturing wealth creators. TAPMI has a place

amongst the top 20 B – schools in India owing to highly experienced faculty with

impeccable credentials and some of the best students.

MANIPAL

Manipal is a cosmopolitan town, with a student

population of 17000 (floating) & 35000

households in and around Manipal. The population

has a high standard of living & immense purchasing

power which is reflected in the SEC (Socio-Economic

Classification) of the respondents. It has the right

mix of households, teenagers and students who form the majority of the consumers

providing excellent respondents for market research.

Professional institutions like Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Welcome Group

School of Hotel Administration (WGSHA), Kasturba Medical College (KMC) and over

forty other educational institutes are situated in Manipal. The students of these

educational institutes come from all over the country.

The demographic profile of Manipal and nearby areas is representative of a typical

population of India. Nearby areas, such as Udupi and Mangalore have a demographic

profile that represent the profile of the suburban and urban Indian consumer

respectively. Nearby villages like Parkala, Bhramavar, Puttur, Kalyanpur etc. represent

the profile of a rural consumer. These areas would enable us to fulfil the objectives of

the study by targeting the right kind of audience.

BRANDSCAN

BrandScan is a unique Market Research fair conducted by the students of TAPMI. In

the 17 years of its glorious existence, BrandScan has completed 190 projects for

various clients making it the largest market research fair by a B- school in India.

BrandScan has a unique way of eliciting

unbiased and natural responses through the use

of disguised games. It boasts of a clientele

consisting of blue-chip companies from various

domains ranging from FMCG, consumer

electronics to the automobile industry.

Professional guidance and consultations from reputed research agencies like TNS,

Market Insight etc has helped BrandScan develop a systematic three-phase research

approach.

The USP of BrandScan is that it serves as a platform for both learning and

entertainment. The format of the event is a gala fair with customized events focused on

attracting people for conducting research. BrandScan hosts more than 5000

visitors from Manipal, Udupi and other adjoining areas and remains one of the most

awaited events of the year for the region.

ABOUT FASHION FIESTA AT BRANDSCAN

Young models set the ramp on fire with their looks and style during the fashion show. This event adds glamour to BrandScan and hence is a favorite, specifically amongst youth. Teams from various institutes participate in this and this remains a major crowd puller.

This year we expect around 7-8 teams from different colleges in and around Manipal, Udupi and Mangalore to participate for the final show on 14th November 2010.

As stated in the event schedule for BrandScan, the Fashion Fiesta will last for 3 hours.

We expect a crowd of around 700-800 people to be present for the event.

AVENUES FOR ASSOCIATION

BrandScan provides an excellent platform for Kimera to promote the brand in

Manipal. BrandScan intends to associate with Kimera as an Event Sponsor or Co-

sponsor or Style Partner for Fashion Show.

As the principal sponsor of the event, Kimera will be co-branded with the event as “Kimera” presents Fashion Fiesta.

As an event Co-sponsor, the event will be publicized as “Fashion Fiesta” in association with “Kimera”.

Or The Style Partner is Kimera.

The Sponsors for the event shall be entitled to extensive coverage and publicity through the following.

Publicity with the help of media associations, which includes mention in the articles in Leading News Daily and through advertisements.

Publicity through e-mail chains: BrandScan has the database of over 1000-2000 students currently studying in Manipal. Round of mail chains will be sent to them, customized as per your needs.

Duration of mail chains: 2-3 weeks prior to the event.

Targeted crowd: Students of KMC, MIT, TAPMI, MIC, MIM, WGHSA, etc.

Publicity through Road shows: As a part of Pre-BrandScan, there will be two road shows- one each in Manipal and Udupi one week before the event. These will provide platform for promotion of all the events and the sponsorers.

Distribution of Coupons: This will be the direct and the largest strategy to promote your Company.

As students go for promoting and getting teams for events, your coupons will be distributed along with our posters.

Stall at Strategic location in Manipal during Pre-BrandScan events: Rink-Basketball, Cricket, Treasure-hunt, etc. are some of the events that will be conducted in Manipal at locations like Kamath Circle. Coupons can be distributed in this stall.

During registration for entry at the venue, coupons will be distributed.

BRANDSCAN: TWO-DAY FAIR

Company banners as stage backdrop during the event and at other locations in the fair premises.

Regular audio announcements during the event.

Video advertisements on giant screens during the event.

Invitation cards, entry tickets and demographic slips displaying the company’s logo.

Retail outlet at the event: A stall will be allotted at the venue. This can be used for promotion of your products and consultancy services. Necessary planning will be done to direct crowd to the stall through ways like redemption of points, free gift announcements at a decided interval of time, etc.

Display of art: A non-competing team from TAPMI will participate in the event. This team can be utilized for exclusive display of your art and style. This will surely grab the eyeball of every individual present there.
